Divergent is such a good book!!! The other books are really good too and very exciting. The reason why the people in the story became who they are is really interesting. I suggest you buy/pick it up and read it NOW!

The whole time i read the description of this series I could'nt help but think of The Bee Movie being a more cheerful version of a similar storyline. However I have been looking forward to reading this series for a while and hopefully i cna get the first book within the next couple of days.

Also has anyone heard of "The Maze Runner" that is supposed to be good also but i'd love some thoughts :)

Divergent is such an amazing series!!!
I love Veronica Roth for all of the characters I have become attached to! Tris is one badass that I can't help but to want to be her. (Not her best-friend, though... I wouldn't want to live in her shadow of badassery). After reading these, I get these feelings of being supa-tough and I want to beat up on people and jump off trains and play paintball and NOT be scaredy-cat. Anyway, the writing of the first book is so fast paced and addictive, and the second one (Insurgent) is a bit slower and generally follows suit. Allegiant is a phenomenal book as well, but similar to Mockingjay in the fact it has a bunch of HATERS because of how different it is from the first two. I do wish it was split into two books, because there is so much new content that I wanted to know more about.
Anyway, one of the top series I've ever read :)

I've been recommended this book more than once as a good read. I still haven't looked it up yet though. Is the general feel to recommend or to throw away?

I just finished reading Divergent a couple of weeks ago. Though it was interesting and I would recommend it, I didn’t automatically buy the next one in the series like I do when I'm absolutely in love with a book. I will probably reread it in the next couple weeks and then see about moving on to the second book.

Yeah I was also disappointed with Allegiant. I thought the ending was unnecessary and I didn't like having to switch between characters so frequently. I hope they change the ending if they make it to the third movie.

I loved Divergent, I also loved Insurgent, And I enjoyed Allegiant... But I was disappointed in the end. It didn't make me like the series any less but I wish it would have ended differently.

I was also disappointed by Allegiant. Not because of the ending though. I just thought it wasn't as fast paced as Divergent and Insurgent. It was just meh. :/

I agree that Allegiant seemed like it was written by a different author. The characters did things that completely went against their actions from the first two books. The plot was a bad mix of action and downtime; it just felt strangely written. In the first two books, I'd been rooting for the characters the whole time. They were strong, well-written, complex characters, and in Allegiant they just seemed whiny and childish. I loved this series and I would recommend reading the last book, simply because I think conclusion is necessary, but I did not enjoy Allegiant as much as the others.
