Time travel has always been a fascinating topic. I love how original the storyline is. It's wonderful that the author included humour in the story. The main challenge with this book seems to be the numerous characters in the story. I also love the fact that the book can be read as a standalone. I'm definitely going to add this to my to-read shelf.

interesting review, i am intrigued! I do enjoy an original spin on sci-fi such as time travel, but its also good to know the concerns about character stories and the number of characters presented, which could be confusing. Hopefully something can be added in a future book to help with understanding.

This book appeals so much to me from the cover page to the review. Unfortunately it's the third in a series and I haven't read the previous two. I'll add it to my list though. Congratulations on BOTD

"Killing Time ... Physics, Lust and Greed Series Book 3" by Mike Murphey - This story begins with Sean having an unexpected visitor who cannot seem to come to the point. The visitor, Marshall, asks some quite personal questions about the place in which Sean grew up, Sean goes on talking as he enjoys reminiscing but eventually demands to know what Marshall really wants. That's when the subject of time travel comes up and a delightful, thoughtful story of righting wrongs begins. Thanks for the interesting review.

I very much enjoyed the book’s premise about time travel. There are obviously quite a few books and movies dealing with time travel, but I feel that this story is told in a refreshing way that is both gripping and humorous. The author didn’t waste a lot of time trying to explain all of the science behind time travel but instead focused on telling an engrossing story, which proved to be the right decision. I was very curious to see what would happen to Sean and if he would succeed in saving Sheila. I also couldn’t wait to find out if he could change his past somehow and totally alter his destiny. The book definitely had my attention and interest. There was also humor in the book, and some of the dialogues between certain characters made me smile. I appreciated those lighthearted scenes to balance out all of the serious situations.

I usually shy away from books about time travel because of the convoluted sciency part, so I'm glad to hear the author focused more on creating an engaging plot. I love a little humor, too.
Thank you!

The name suggests that this is the third book in the series. But the review makes it seem like it's good for a stand alone book. It's a possibility that other main characters' stories have already been told in first two parts? Anyhow, I would prefer to start reading from the first book in the series. I believe that makes the experience better.

I like books and movies that revolve around the concept of time-travel. You mentioned that the book doesn't focus too much on the technicalities of it, so that's a plus point for me, as I find scientific explanations very confusing, and it distracts me from the story. I also prefer if the character development is given preference, which doesn't seem to be the case here, so I'm not sure if I'll be reading the book.
Thank you for such a detailed and well-written review.

It sounds like this time-travel book has a unique take on the subject and may be worth a look. I wish the character development were stronger, as that is one thing I look for in the books I read. I'm glad the book can be read as a stand-alone (at least mostly), but I'm not fond of beginning in the middle of a series. I would have to locate the first two books and read them before starting this one. Definitely something to consider. Thanksfor the insightful review!

Time travel is a tricky thing to get right for me. But a lot of that has to do with people making it overly complicated. This book seems like it focused more on giving us an enjoyable plot! That speaks volumes.

I'm not a big fan of books about time travel, nor do I read books that are in the middle of a series. This book, obviously, is not for me, and I'm concerned about the Reviewer's comment that characterization is poor in many instances. That's also a turnoff. However, that being said, I still would like to wish the author congratulations on achieving BOTD.

I like science-fiction novels based on time travel, so I'm curious if Sean can change his past and save Sheila. However, I wish the other characters were better developed. Thanks for your review!
