I hope the parts not properly developed will continue in the sequels, otherwise, this seems like an engaging novel and I'm curious about the protagonist's trance-like state. I'll look into this series. Thank you for your great review!

I would be interested in finding out what happens to Pali and Savage. However, I am not looking for a new series. I am in the middle of one about zombies at present.

I am not normally a fan of fantasy and shape-shifting, and this descriptive line ["the stench of death and decimation hangs heavily in the air") convinced me that this is not the book for me. I am a fan of your writing style, however.

An amazing review! I was intrigued from start to finish and kinda wished this was the book itself. Now I need to go read this book. From the giant man to a possed bird, and a demon-haunted farm house sparks my interest in so many ways.

Though I'm not a fan of series books, from the cover page to the description of this book, I think I would have to reconsider my stand on series books. I enjoyed reading your review. Well done!

I love reading about wars and this seems to have a lot of that. Pall Warren seem to have a lot up his sleeves. I'll definitely check this out when I did time to do so.

Its first scene opens on a battlefield, wherein the stench of death and decimation hangs heavily in the air. Pall Warren, the main protagonist in this book, awakes on this battlefield in somewhat of a trance.

That was a great scene setting opening to your review Judith Donald, I was immediately interested in the story and enjoyed the tantalizing plot and character development hints. I appreciated your criticisms of the book too, you explained them clearly. Thank you.
