The concept of 'A Tome of Order Magic' by Kyle, where a character named Kai is unexpectedly transported to a world of magic, sounds intriguing. The unique use of 'mana' as a magical power source adds an interesting twist, and the formatting resembling a video game adds an innovative touch. However, the reviewer's criticism of immature and inappropriate humor, along with the lack of a cohesive plot, raises concerns about the overall reading experience. Despite the book's professional editing, these drawbacks might deter some readers.

"A Tome of Order Magic" by Kyle is a science fiction book that begins with Kai being unexpectedly transported to another world. That other world is full of magic. I like how thought-out the world of magic is because it has some authentic features like "mana" as the power behind magic.

A Tome of Order Magic follows Kai, who finds himself unexpectedly in a different world. He appears to have been summoned to this magical realm as he is thrust into it. In this thrilling tale, Kai has to discover the reason behind his summoning and learn how to wield magic. Even though the plot looks promising, the concerns in your review are valid. Thank you for an honest review.

The book's plot and video game-like story are not what I like to read. However I see several ideas that need to be developed so that the story becomes more coherent. The review is thorough and detailed I appreciate the honesty of the reviewer. Congrats on BOTD

Today's BOTD is an adventurous fantasy novel that follows Kai on his journey to another world filled with magic and surprise. Readers interested in the genre, as well as those looking to escape the everyday norm, may want to give this one a try. Thank you for your helpful review! It's not the one for me, but I've downloaded my copy in case I change my mind. :-)

This book has a magical quality, rather like the Merlin legend, or even a little similar to ‘The Lord of the Rings’, yet I feel it is for the younger reader as the story seems more appropriate for that genre. I love the magical terminology and medieval feel.

The author’s use of “mana” as the magical power source and the unique creatures described were intriguing. The formatting resembling a video game, with mana levels visibly displayed, added an interesting layer to the story.
I appreciate your honesty in pointing out areas for improvement. Immature humor, especially when it crosses into sexist and misogynistic territory, can detract from the overall reading experience. Also, the lack of a clear plot and purpose affected the book’s cohesion.

Aside from the misogynistic and sexually immature content of this book, it makes for a good read for adventure fiction lovers. There's a lack of cohesion and the story seems to be about everywhere. Also, there were unnecessarily long monologues which could be brief and still make sense. I think a lot more effort needs to be put into the Author's next work, or into editing this one, of possible.

It's probably not my cup of tea. But I think to read a scientific video game based fiction novel would be something I might try, because the chapter are designed in short adventure. Great review though to detail out what other readers would like and what to expect from the book.

Thank you for the honest review!
For example, the use of “mana” as the power behind the magic was a concept I hadn’t heard before, and several different creatures were described that were interesting.
Is it “mana,” as in the food from Heaven? Or is that “manna?” I guess I’d have to read to find out.
Another creative aspect of the book was that it was formatted like a video game. The amount of mana was “displayed” for Kai to see. When he improved his battle skills, it showed him “powering up.”
Well, this could definitely be a draw when there’s so many other pieces of media with similar concepts that are highly popular (e.g. Solo Leveling).
A lot of the humor was immature. Immature humor on its own would be okay, but several of the comments crossed the line by being sexist and misogynistic. It went so far as to joke about whether these comments and thoughts were inappropriate, which somehow made things seem worse. Many of the comments were unnecessary and didn’t add anything to the story itself.
Another downfall was that the plot was lacking throughout the book. It seemed more like a series of mini-adventures than a story that followed one specific storyline. It often felt like the book was written without a specific purpose. On the other hand, the descriptions were often too in-depth.
Yeah, these are some pretty serious drawbacks. The bright spot is that there’s always room for improvement, but I think I’d have to pass on this title.

Misogynistic ideas promote the hatred of women. If that is what this book is doing, I will not think highly of it. Other than that, it seems that the other ideas in book have promise. The biggest flaw is the lack of plot. Thank you for this informative and honest review. :techie-studyinggray:

A Tome of Order Magic by Kyle seems like a thrilling science-fiction journey with Kai, a character thrust into a world of magic, where mysteries unravel as he navigates through a realm unlike any he has known.

A Tome of Order Magic is a science-fiction novel written by Kyle, a pseudonym of the author. The story follows a character named Kai who is transported to a world of magic, where he is summoned to control the magic and find his purpose. The book has several positive aspects, including excellent editing, unique ideas, and a video game-like format. However, there are several areas that need improvement.

The humor in the book is immature, with some comments crossing the line into sexist and misogynistic language. These comments are unnecessary and do not add anything to the story. The plot is lacking, with the book feeling more like a series of mini-adventures rather than a specific storyline. The descriptions are often too in-depth, which detracts from the story when characters go on long rants about their opinions.

Overall, the book has a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. The author had good ideas and unique aspects, but the overall plot and content were lacking. The lack of clear plot and purpose, and the inappropriateness of the content, have led to a reduction of one star.

The book is recommended for those who enjoy science-fiction and fantasy-based video games, but it is only recommended for older audiences who are okay with the sexist and sexual comments made throughout the book. There are also several gory scenes and scenes with sexual content that some readers might want to avoid.

In conclusion, A Tome of Order Magic is a well-written and engaging science-fiction novel that follows Kai as he navigates the world of magic and the challenges he faces. While the editing is excellent, the lack of clear plot and purpose, and the inappropriate content, make it a less recommended read for older audiences.
