This sounds like the well-used post-apocalyptic trope. I have read many books and watched many movies talking about the same storyline. However, I'd love to see the unique angle the author takes on this one.

Your summary of the story's central conflict, the impending destruction of Earth by a neutron star and the race to find a new planetary home piqued my interest in this book. The idea of humanity facing such a dire deadline is suspense-filled.

Science fiction as always does pull me in. Will for sure be reading this based purely on that merit although sounds like the book has its own applaudable characteristics.

Wow, what an incredibly detailed and insightful review of "Exodus"! It sounds like a thrilling journey through science, sacrifice, and survival. I'm impressed by how the authors seamlessly weave accurate scientific details with an engaging narrative, making it accessible even to readers unfamiliar with astrophysics. Your analysis of the characters, especially Garret Long and President Rebecca McCann, highlights the depth and complexity of the storytelling. It's wonderful to hear that you found nothing to dislike and that the book prompted such thought-provoking questions about humanity and decision-making in crisis situations. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I'm sure your review will inspire others to delve into this captivating science fiction tale.

"Exodus" by Jean Hackensmith @ Joseph McDowell. An interesting book, talks about the destruction of earth and the survivors later have to search for a new planet to settle. This will actually take years to achieve. Sacrifices of people, people's decision and strong relationships of people are mostly considered. Congrats on your #BOTD.

Intriguing science fiction flows from the first chapter on with fully developed characters and carefully examined scientific information. Will Garret have the resolve to keep going after what happened to David? Well-written review. Congratulations to the author on BOTD.

I've never really been a fan of scifi, but your review sparked my interest a bit for this one! Thanks!

Filled with action and suspense, today's BOTD is a scifi novel that follows a group of individuals on their quest for survival before a neutron star named Ulysses collides with Earth. I'm excited to learn more about the characters and see if they make it before the pending impact date of 2028! Thank you again for the awesome review!

It is an interesting question "What will you do if you know the world will end in 5 years?." Science fiction fans will enjoy learning more to answer this question. Thank you for your informative review.

Wonderful review! How timely of a BOTD pick this is, considering all of the space-related events that have occurred this past week (i.e the solar eclipse, Victor Wembanyama’s alien logo for Nike, the trailer drop of Fly Me to the Moon, etc). I guess now is quite the time to be a sci-fi/space epic fan!
A neutron star named Ulysses is heading for Earth, with a predicted impact date of April 14, 2028, while the current year is 2023.

Wow, the on-point timing continues since (as of today) tomorrow is April 14, 2024. So, it looks like it’s about to be less than FOUR years to “plan, prepare, and ensure the necessary technology is in place for travel.” Haha
