Great review, Ritah! This sounds like a really interesting read. Sci-fi is usually pretty hit or miss for me. Unfortunately, I don't know what makes it a hit or a miss. It just happens. That's a bummer that the first few chapters are difficult to read because of all the unknown terminology being thrown out there. I understand why authors don't go through explaining every single thing, because that usually keeps a story from being organic/flowing well, but when it's constant it can be really hard to keep up and/or stay engaged. Do you think you would have continued reading if you weren't writing a review for it?

For sure, this book was a hit for me. They were so many things that the author did right that managed to capture my attention, imagination, and interest. So much so, Book 2; Grizzly Fond is something I have my eyes on(definitely want to follow up on Jet and the COAPs) I think that my problem is I'm basically addicted to stories that are fast-paced from the get go but most stories need to build from somewhere - so there is that. I also understand why some authors don't go explaining every single thing( trust me, I've read a book that did that only to wish that the author didn't get too technical on the details cause that kinda detracted from the story- at least for me- it's nice to get a book with the right balance.)

I'd like to recommend this book to you - I'd really like to hear someone elses perspective and experience with it. Also there is so much I want to say about the book that was super exciting for me, but that includes a spoiler - so I won't say more for now.

Also, thanks for the compliment ha. I appreciate it.
