I agree with the reviewer's comparison to The Lord of the Rings. Providence Ends develops an entire world complete with cultures, tech, and even goes to the cellular level, all the while towing the reader along without overwhelming. I can't wait to read the rest.

Though I sense the book to have a complicated storyline, it could be quite an interesting read.

what a diligent review. Sci-fi reads are always full of adventurous moments, with it being compared to Lord of the Rings might actually make me take a look in future.

This book sounds like a great start to what seems to be an excellent sci-fi series, and I see that the publisher has taken your suggestions and sent the book for editing to get rid of the errors, which is always pleasant to hear. Thanks for the insightful review!

What a great and very detailed review! Although I can say it sounds a bit confusing with all the chapters and letters, I believe I should give it a try and actually find out how confusing it really is. The story itself sounds like something I would love with all it's challenges.

It is interesting but complicated. Maybe trying it will change my view. A thorough review. Nice.

Very big and descriptive review, CataclysmicKnight. The book has a great science fiction plot. It has got quality. It's nice to know that the book is part of a series. The cover has got an old sci-fi comic book vibe.

This sounds like a book that anyone who loves scifi, romance, and action will enjoy. This doesn't sound like my kind of read but I am sure it is a must read for fans of the genre! Congratulations to the author and thanks for sharing an insightful review.

Sci-fi novels typically fall into one of two categories - serious, heavy, hard-to-follow sci-fi with names that are impossible to pronounce and countless pages setting the stage for the rest of the book or sci-fi that could really be any genre but loosely uses a futuristic setting to make it unique. Luckily, Providence Ends by Bryan Shewmaker falls right in the middle; it's light enough that anyone can read it and enjoy it, yet it expertly builds its world and explores its technology naturally throughout the book bits and pieces at a time. It's like learning a new language a few words at a time instead of being thrown into a conversation with someone who speaks the language!

It's hard to achieve a balance between these "extreme" and "loose" classes of sci-fi while managing several subplots. Although I'm not a fan of the genre, I recognize this feat takes talent and makes for a good read.
The chapter distribution seems confusing to me, but I guess it makes sense once you get into the story.
I'll skip this one but thank you for the enthusiastic review.

Solar Winds is an exciting sci-fi novel with a complicated plot. It follows several different characters and interweaves their storylines. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent and detailed review.

Good review! You had a lot to say which make me want to read it. I like sci-fi so this sounds really interesting. All these worlds and different powers and stories mixed into one I can’t wait to read it.

That's a great review and I love your enthusiasm for the book. Not for me, though, as I'm not a fan of science-fiction. Many thanks!

Sci-fi isn’t my absolute favorite and the sample pages were a bit complex for me. I have to give the author credit though in that he wanted to create a story that was unique and unlike anything out there. I thought he did just that, but the technological terms just don’t resonate with me. Thanks for more insight into this one.
