This is an impressive coming of age fantasy full of magic, dragons, bullying, friendship and determination. It is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has an incitefully well-written OnlineBookClub review. I rated the book 4 out of 4 stars. Congrats @marcauthor for the BOTD.

I love stories about shapeshifting. I also love stories about dragons. A shapeshifting dragon is right up my alley.

It's interesting how being able to transform into a dragon can change other people's perception about the protagonist.

"Islands' greetings" to all!

Transforming from pygmy to dragon is a gigantic feat! I am glad Pip has a nickname; her full name is going to drive me nuts.

This looks like a winner. The cover is fascinating. Pip is endearing. It's time for the little people to stand tall. I'm off to Lilliput, er, Island-World!

Unfortunately, I am not a great fan of fantasy fiction, so this story doesn't really appeal to me much. I do appreciate your review and your enthusiasm for this book, however, and am sure fans will love it.

Sounds like a fun new spin on a dragon book. Thanks for the review.

I am excited to read this book! Apart from my natural bias to anything coming from Africa (as I am of African descent living in the diaspora), I really enjoy fantasy novels. This review seems to capture a lot of the story, almost retelling it. The description of Pip pulled empathy from me. I’m ready to turn those pages myself.

The name of the book had me wanting to read this and this confirms! Shapeshifting and dragons are right up my alley. Pip sounds like an interesting character and I'd like to see how her story pans out. Very insightful review, thank you!

In The Pygmy Dragon, the author tells a fantasy tale about the pygmy creatures human in appearance, but have the tendency to transform into a dragon. The story seems quite interesting.

I adore shapeshifter stories, and Pip sounds like a delight. I also like that a whole new world is built for this tale. Thanks for the review!

Thanks for your review. This sounds like a good fantasy book, but I am even more interested in its take on racism, speciesism and the objectification of a character trapped in a zoo. I am very grateful for the free copy as I hope to find time to read this!

I love that the author created a whole new world dedicated to his story. I'm curious as to the remaining contents of the scroll, since this novel is just a part of it, as it were. I like that Pip was able to maintain her good-natured personality despite being abused. Will love to read more about her. Thanks for the review.

Fantasy genre isn't my cup of tea and so I won't try out The Pygmy Dragon by Marc Secchia. The mere mention of dragons in the book scares me. I will recommend it to the lovers of such. Great review!
