A compelling story. An adolescent boy comes to a town to strange town to get healed. A story that has folklore, myth and science.
Thanks for the review.

Normally I not a fantasy reader. Definitely not a urban fantasy reader but after reading the the very descriptive review regarding the world and characters it opened my mind to perhaps give it a read.

Fantastic review! From your description this certainly sounds like a fantastic book, and one worth reading! Often books in fantasy genres suffer from a lack of groundwork, especially when it comes to world-building and defining the "laws" of their land, and I'm glad to hear E.R. Barr seems to have addressed this issue in his novel!

Fantastic Review! I think this urban fantasy sounds fascinating! I love when authors utilize all the characters and give them great development. It just helps the story so much! I will be adding this book to my shelf.

Your review paints a vivid picture of the worth of this work. I almost can't imagine a better review. That the epic is destined to become a saga, speaks volumes on the author's prowess in story telling. Bravo!

Writing an urban tale filled with enough fantasy material to entice the current reader is definitely hard work, this review definitely does credit to the book, i want to read and see if I'll be as impressed as the reviewer

The story is good although the writer should have used a 'softer' language for every reader to feel the flow.

If KU is only available in our country, I bought this book right away. Anyway, I perhaps read more urban fantasy books but the one I can remember right now is The Raven Cycle series. And you are actually correct, that genre is difficult to get in to. I had problems with it at first until I slowly got in and got obsessed with it. Anyway, thanks for the review. I will definitely read this.

Seems like the author pulled off a good book in one of the most difficult genres... Thanks for the book... Congrats on BOTD
