The review gives insight into the story. It causes you to want to learn more about the "flaming rocks" and the apocalypse that occurs at the beginning. On the other hand, it causes one to stand and take notice of all the other "plotty' things and diverse characters that required to go to battle. The review was enlightening. Thank you for such a great review.

I don't know. I kind of liked the info-dump in the first few chapters, though I am a nerd, so that might explain it. I'm also glad that you noted the unsettling familiarity of the politics throughout, because I was thinking of things like the Israel/Palestine conflict and the effects of colonialism/neo-colonialism while I sampled the book. Definitely going to check it out further.

this book in my opinion is quite good but there are still shortcomings that must be corrected, such as the arrangement of words and sentences is still difficult to understand and must be improved so that the reader is easy to digest everything contained in the contents of the book.

There's a lot to consider in this book as biological warfare, odd beings from the past, hydrotechnology, apocalypse, beasts, ethnic cleansing, and waring worlds combine. With complex characters and intricate plots, this book is staying true to sci-fi. Not my style, but sounds like it's worth checking out. Great review.

I read the first chapter of this book and was lost. I found it hard to keep focused on what was going on. It was boring to me. It could have been that I don't really like reading Sci-fi. I would rate it 3***.

Life on another planet seems good enough to read. Developed charactes are another plus point. Would like to give it a try.

Thank you for an honest and thorough review. I like the sci-fi genre in general. However, when a story has a lot of info-dumping I tend to discard it. I hate having to go back and read. From the sample pages, the storyline does seem interesting enough. Your review leads me to believe I would enjoy it if I give it a chance!

Apex Five by Sarah Katz seems like an awesome sci-fi fiction. The idea of the storm is really unique. I love this kind of novels. I'm looking forward to reading it. Congo on BOTD.

The character of Telo, who works toward saving his people from the pathogen, is certainly quite interesting. As a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, I find this book to be really good.

'Official Review: Apex Five by Sarah Katz' is the necessary description of the story of the book and a discussion at length. I like the way the reviewer goes into the details of the book. The sub-topics such as gender fluidity, pursuit for one's happiness have been well covered in the review!

This sounds like quite an intriguing book with a complex storyline and build. This is the case with Scifi genre but if you nail the complexity you get a beautiful story. Thanks for your great review.

Great review. Sounds like an action packed book. I’m not to into this genre and the fact that there is a lot of “dumping” does deter me somewhat. However, after reading your review I will give it a chance.
