I was drawn to the first book of this series, thanks to the title's consonance to TV-series I really enjoyed watching. It was only later, after I actually read it, that I understood what a treat those books truly are. Reviews got it spot on with everything good said about the series, stories held so much intrigue and mystery that it is impossible to stop before you read the whole "Illusions of Power" series.

A young adult novel about a world full of magic that Delvin had to navigate. How will he deal with a stone that can change people’s mind and make them do stuff they don’t want? Thanks for your review, it was very detailed and made me want to go read the first book in order to read this one too!!

I love how the reviewer compares the second book to the first one, giving readers a clear idea of what to expect and how the story has progressed. It's great to hear that the characters are more fleshed out in this installment, making it easier to connect with them.

This review does a fantastic job of capturing the essence of the book's plot and characters. It's thorough yet concise, giving enough information to intrigue without giving away too much. The mention of the magic stone and Delvin's adventures is particularly enticing!

It's good to know that the second book is as engaging as the first one; even better, the author improved upon the shortcomings of the first book.

I'm super excited to read the 2nd book as I too enjoyed the previous book so much. Townsend truly has the magic to capture his readers attention from the word go and he keeps you hooked till the last page. Thanks for a detailed review. Congrats on BOTD and thanks for the free book.

The Three Card Trick by Charles Townsend is a story with magic, adventure, and mystery. Book 2 in the series, this one continues the story of Delvin, who is now in possession of the magician's stone that he inherited from his friend and mentor, Borlock. I sampled the book and found the storyline intriguing. Congratulations on the BOTD!

I look forward to reading this book. I enjoyed reading the Magician's Secret and I can't wait to find out what happens to all the characters from the first book. I like that this book has a gripping storyline and well developed characters.

I would love to know the story behind the magic stone—about how it gives Delvin the power to do what he's able to do. I'm glad to know that the second book is even better than the first one. Thanks for the review!

I like it when people use their supernatural abilities for the good of others, just like Delvin using the magic stone to save the two cities from being taken over by the magicians. Nice review!

The inclusion of magical artifacts like this enhances the depth of the storyline, making it a compelling read for fans of fantasy adventures. Nice review.
