I'm very into the post-apocalyptic genre and this sounds like a very interesting take on it. Instead of trying to survive on a dying earth, they leave to attempt to form a new life on an unruined planet. The "planned pairs" thing sounded like a disaster waiting to happen the moment I read it, but I would love to read the book to see how it plays out. I'll know now to try and not let the inconsistencies and technical errors bother me or interrupt the flow too much. Thanks for the review!!

Hmm, I'm not sure about this one. It might sound silly, but I either like to read stories that take place on Earth or stories that start at a different world - reading about characters leaving Earth has never gone well for me other than Narnia. It does sound like a fun story though. Thank you for the review.

I wonder how this book tackles issues that other books may not have or see how it tackles the same issues.

I love good sci-fi, but the amount of grammatical errors just puts me off reading it. This is going to be a big hope from me.

I hate it when errors become distracting to the reader. The story sounds interesting but I’m not convinced it’s original enough. Great review.

Thanks for your review! It's interesting how the author interweaved science fiction elements with a hunter/gatherer society. The embryo lab sounds fascinating. I'm curious to see how the survivors will adjust to living on Terra. However, the errors present in the book are off-putting.

Interesting review! Having read the sample story, and your review; I am going to say that futuristic stories about planets outside earth that earthlings think or assume life will be better is turning up on bookshelves everywhere. Global Warming has taken its toll, the minds of man is at its peak. But I do like this story most of all Amanda and Paul life on a planet outside earth, and why their parents sacrifice their only two children sending them to a place they knew little about, to change their life and their thinking for two years. It is a must read for me, I am curious about what lies ahead for the children.

The plot sounds very interesting. I liked that you mentioned that you had to remind yourself you were reading about the future and not the hunter/gatherer era. A reflection on what we will become.

So in this futuristic story, people are people even though hundreds of years have passed. There are the ones who cooperate and the ones that don't. I'm a little bit curious about how they resolve this problem to save the human race. But the numerous errors turn me off. I'll put off reading the book until it gets edited again. Thanks for the review!

The plot is engaging and attracting, but with a lot of issues. I am not sure if this book is for me, but I will find a place on my shelves for it. Thanks for your review!

I think this book belongs to the dystopian genre fusion with fantasy which does not interest me. The review was descriptive to provide a picture to the reader. Thank you for your detailed!

This story sounds interesting. I like science fiction and always intrigued on what others perceive as the future. Living on another planet would be thrilling but starting over to build like in old times would be hard. Even though there are many major errors I will enjoy reading this book. :tiphat:

As a student of anthropology and a fan of sci-fi colonization stories, this one sounds like the perfect book. It's too bad about the errors. Mistakes like that may be small, but they are distracting and show a lack of editing.

Generally I love this kind of book, which explores the survival of mankind in the future. The author exploring the possibility that our survival techniques will revert to those of ancient hunter/gatherers is an interesting twist, and to my mind quite possible. I'm not sure I will be able to handle the editing errors though as I'm a bit OCD...Will give it a go and see!
