In my opinion I think that the books were my favorite series of books to read.
I loved number one getting to now katniss and Peter and wondering what was going to happen in the second book.
I then picked up the second one and I also truly loved that one to. the action and the attitude of katniss how you find that she's not really as strong as you thought she was.
Then I picked up the third I can honestly say it bored me in the beginning don't get me wrong it's a good book but there's no action in the beginning no attention grabber I'm happy I carried on reading though because it got better and I enjoyed it.

Hunger games is one of my favorite series. Although sad I definitely appreciate the irony of the entire thing. It's a very interesting series. Keeps you excited and sucked in.

I am going to have to check into this Battle Royale of which you speak. I have actually heard that referenced more than once when reading about discussions on the HG trilogy, so there really must be some similarities.
I have never been much of a sci fi/fantasy reader, but I loved this series. I felt that Suzanne Collins put so much thought in how she wanted things to come about in the end. In each book, it always felt to me like she knew exactly where she was headed. I thought both the story and character arcs were dynamic.
Once I dipped my toe into the sci fi pool, I have ventured a little further and will continue to enjoy this genre.

My favorite book in this series was Catching Fire. I can read and re-read this book all day. There were so many plot twists and subtle funny comments from Katniss. My least favorite was the third book but it wasn't because the book was slow at times, it was because the plot was confusing at times. [SPOILERS] I didn't understand that Prim had died until the very end of the book or the reason Gale and Katniss stopped talking was because she blamed him for her death. The action was amazing throughout the entire series and I really enjoyed that.

The Hunger Games was the first series that I read and it completely got me into reading! The powerful message that Suzanne Collins conveys throughout the three books really comes to life and makes the reader think. I also like how the message isnt hidden, its right there in front of you when you read the book that their government is corrupted by power hungry people. I also like how Suzanne Collins isnt afraid to tell the world that she thinks this is like our current government, and I for one completely agree with her.

10/10 series review

Dystopian is not usually a genre i gravitate towards. When i was recommended this book, i was sceptical at first but upon starting it, i was hooked from the first few pages.

The story was unique and the idea behind the hunger games, i found engrossing. What made this book so great for me was how lovable and easy to like the characters were. Being so connected to them kept me on edge the whole trilogy, rooting for them to survive.
The first book was a great starter to the series as there was a lot of world building.
The second book , in my opinion, was better as the characters went through a lot of character development.
The final book was not a disappointment to me like it was for other readers. I thought it was very well written, it made me feel several emotions ranging from anger to happiness and it was a satisfying conclusion to this well loved trilogy.
The Hunger Games is a must read for everyone.

The second book was really the most popular i guess, but i feel that the first book was vital. It got most people wanting to read the second book and then the third was just a let down. The 'District Thirteen' discovery was quite a hook but other than that it was all a drag. Most of the book was unecessary and i wish it had a better backbone. I agree that 'Mockingjay' was not as enthralling as the other two captivating books in the Trilogy

I LOVED these books. I made the mistake of reading the last one while I was pregnant and ended up crying for hours at the end. To read a book with a strong female character was refreshing. I could read this series over and over again.

I started reading the Hunger Games well before it became a trend. When the front covers were still just illustrations, but never the less I also enjoyed the series. Obviously when one wants to start a series the first book should be the strongest, but the book I enjoyed the most was Mockingjay. In the book the plot is constantly changing and you don't know where its going next. I read it in on sitting! We start seeing the characters in a different light and the book has so many twists and turns you will never guess the ending!

I can honestly say that I was very impressed with The Hunger Games and Catching Fire! I was not in love with Mockingjay though! I think after reading the first two books, my expectations for the last one were too high. All in all, I enjoyed reading about this dystopian world as a whole!

I loved the Hunger game books. All the books to me were good. I love the writing and the characters were amazing. To me they were all brave in their own way.

I'd agree that Catching Fire was my favorite, but I was mesmerized by the entire series and thought it ended solidly with Mockingjay. I found the characters to be complex, multi-faceted, and very compelling, even the bad guys like Snow. It's a haunting dystopian vision, for sure, that kept me on the edge of my seat from Book 1 to Book 3. Intense action, intense emotions, heartbreaking twists, characters you grew to care deeply about meeting tragic (and unforeseen) ends. The movies are well done... but the novels are ALWAYS better! ;-)

The Hunger Games series is one of my favorite book series. Out of the three my favorite would be the second. The second book contained the most action and the most character development in my opinion out of the three. The first book was wonderful but it did not contain the type of development for the other characters that the second one was able to achieve.

I would have to say the third book was my favorite. Its true that the beginning was a bit of a bore and it was kinda difficult getting into the story but the third book was such a huge nail biter. I felt so many more emotions reading the third book than I ever did in the first and second book. In fact I cried a few times reading the third.I would say that the second book was my favorite but everything was just so predictable for me. By the middle of the book I already knew what was going to happen in the end which caused me to put the book away for a while. Although the second book is predictable I agree that its very well written.
