"Kin's Quest" by Ron Root draws is the second in the series but a standalone publication. The book has an interesting storyline about a young man who discovers he has some magical power and seeks to improve on it. I like the storyline and wish to congratulate the author on #BOTD!

It sounds like a finely written fantasy novel. The author sure did a good job with the summary of the first book and the vivid descriptions in the book.

The book is pitched quite well. Sadly, since I'm not a fan of fantasy fiction, will have to pass on this one. But congratulations on being listed as Book Of The Day.

Judging by the review of this book, the first thing that drew my attention to this book was the book cover. It is colorful and appealing to the eyes. When I saw "quest" in the book title what instantly came to mind was "adventure" and I love anything adventure! I'm enthusiastic to follow the characters through the world of magic. Congrats on BOTD

I never really buy that one instalment in a series can stand alone. Consequently, I think it's a good thing Root has included a summary if the first book. Failing to do this is an oversight many authors are guilty of.

Gresham's journey sounds exciting, hopefully, he will be able to gain his status as a magus. I do think that his status does not bother Reyna much though.

Well, I feel good to know that this story can be read as a stand-alone. I am also happy about the vivid descriptions given to the world of Graal, as well as the great job done with the character development, especially the characters Draper and Hagley.

Based on the orphaned boy who grows up with his uncle and proves himself both to the society and her love is quite encouraging.
