It's quite strange that Yanara has a husband and a wife! They flee to another planet after their home was destroyed by the k'tul. They start a new colony on this planet. Good review, looks like an interesting read.

In this novel, we see how this plays out in the lives of Yanara and her children (Asima, Hawklord, Wolfpack, and Snowfox) as well as the rest of the residents. It's okay to know the author employed the first person point of view in writing this novel; it gives the story a more familiar, concrete touch.
