This seems an interesting story. An alien greedy for power and luxury seems more relatable to human today. The book having and end and all the plot threads being resolved is a plus. Congrats on BOTD!!

This book sounds like an interesting mix of science fantasy and historical fiction. The suspense and thrill of running from Anstey are huge draws, but I’m more attracted by Kat and the mystery of why she has powers similar to these aliens’ when she’s from Earth. I’m very curious about her entire side of the story, actually. Thank you for the helpful review.
