Sounds interesting and it seems as if there is room for character development. Keep it up, the next book may be even more intriguing.

A lovely storyline with a cast of likable character. I do much admire the cover page, looks like those British ancient magical scenes. Congrats on BOTD.

Great review! This sounds like a very interesting fantasy novel. I like the fact that the heroine has magical power and fighting skills. I hope the few negatives listed in the review won't take too much away from my appreciation of her character though. I'm really looking forward to reading this!

This sounds like a fascinating book where the author built an amazing, fantastic world. I liked your thought-provoking criticism regarding Aerietta's characterization. Perhaps human dualism is intended to be highlighted by the fierce ability of an assassin intertwined with refreshing naivete. I wonder if these features will be exploited in the following books. Excellent review! Thank you!

I feel that this is an exiting narrative. However, I believe a movie would have captured a lot more fans. Great story with intricate factors at play. Kudos.

I'm already in love with Aerietta's character. I'm imagining the hard decision she had to make to pay for hey freedom. This book sure will make a good read.

I'm a fan of the fantasy genre. The review made me curious about the book's world-building aspect and the magic system. Hopefully, the areas for improvement stated by the review will be addressed on the succeeding books.

The first chapter drew me in immediately but I am sorry to say that it went downhill from there. Aerietta is supposed to be this 17-year-old badass assassin until she meets Lyom. I gave her the benefit of the doubt because one, she was just betrayed by her sect.
