 Great review! Reading the background of the story, in the beginning, made me thought as well that it needs more detail describing the background. Since it is the first entry, building on the background must be solid, however, the wrap-up or the concise background anyhow make the story with a sense of humor.

Wow! Thanks for the thorough review. I do love a (well-written) fantasy novel, and I’m especially intrigued by a story described as a cross between Harry Potter and GOT. If that’s a true claim, then sign me up! :)

Wonderful review indeed. The book is ebbing with so much fun and adventure. Leaf seems like a wonderful character, and the reference to Harry Potter just peaked my interest. Once again, wonderful review.

To hear this book described as Harry Potter meets King of Thrones sounds like one will be on a ride of their life full of bloody gory magical wonders. Just by reading this review I piqued to the fullest of what lies in the wake via reading this book.

The book's premise is intriguing enough to make me want to read it, but I'm not sure I can stomach the violence. I will give it some thoughts. Thanks!

Harry Potter meets Game of Thrones sounds fascinating! I agree, 10-15-year-olds dealing with murder and rape is a bit too much but, the book sounds like a great read!

I like that the mage names matched their abilities to keep the characters clear. Brimstone, Heat, and Neutron have to face many enemies together, and the different scenarios show how teamwork is important.

I think this sounds like a great fantasy tale, but I am a little apprehensive about the threats of sexual violence, especially since it is directed at young kids. I am going to give it a try and see how it goes. Great review!

I thought the sample was well written and interesting. The plot seems intriguing. I'm not sure what to think about the characters being so young though

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting and entertaining fantasy novel surrounding a young mage who cannot use magic. Because of his lack of magic, he becomes a scapegoat for an attack on his fellow mage students. It is worth a second look. Well done.

This is a book I've been looking forward to reading and while I still plan on doing so I appreciate knowing the upsides of the story and the pitfalls that it faces as well. This book looks so promising so to learn that it lacks detail to truly build it up and make it something amazing is disappointing. I will go forward with this book with this knowledge in mind and hopefully, it will help keep me from being too disappointed.

I have read over the sample pages of this one before, and it’s just not my genre. I like the creativity, but the orcs, trolls and goblins will just have to go on without me. Your review, however, gives a great overview of the book and I’m sure will entice those who like this type of story.

I understand your points about the grammatical errors, the lack of details and the characters' ages. I am glad that you liked the book overall though. Congrats to the author on the 3/4 rating.

I like that Leaf is focused in life and would not let anything stand in the way of what he wants out of life. Thanks for the review.

Glad that you mentioned about the darkness of the book regarding the character's ages, but then it's the same thing with A Song of Ice and Fire; but still, having it compared to LOTR as well because of the elves and other magical creatures, I find it too dark for a fantasy book involving these creatures I learned to love and like. Thanks for the honest review!
