Although the cover of the book is beautiful, I'm not drawn to books with a lot of violence and gore. It's too bad there were grammatical errors as well and that there was also a lack of details noticed. Thanks for the informative review!

After reading the sample this is not a book for me. I did enjoy Harry Potter as a kid though and I do love game of thrones, so i may just need to give it a chance! Haha

That's interesting you feel it could have been longer, because I generally feel a lot of books are too long and drawn out :P

Quite an upgrade from Leaf to Brimstone! I hope he does not fail in his quest. I'll just have to read the novel to find out. Great review.

Thank you for your detailed and passionate review! I am not a huge fan of fantasy most of the time, but I like hearing from people who are. It encourages me to give it another try.

Well, considering the age of characters, this kind of violence really sounds inappropriate. However, the book seems to be engaging and well written, and it looks like the author has invested time in developing the characters. This would be a good read for fantasy genre fans. Thank you for the amazing review.

I absolutely love fantasy, and this reminds me of other big-name fantasy series that I have loved. I think I may have to read this novel. Congrats on BOTD!

Based on the review, this fantasy book sounds like great one to read if a fan of both the Harry Potter series and Game of Thrones. It is sure to satisfy the craving of adventure and overcoming impossible odds. Thanks for the candid review!

Wow, seems like there is a lot going on in this book. I don’t normally read a lot of fantasy, but I would love to check it out.

I like that Leaf (Brimstone) excels in life even though he is from a poor family. The theme that you can pursue anything in life is something any young person can identify with. Nice review.

It really does sound like Harry Potter. Although I don't really like the way you said teenagers are given murderous characters, I guess I would enjoy it a bit. It could poison the mind though, with the gory details and all. It'd probably take a disciplined person not to waver.
