I love this book. Truly, I do. However, I have to give it 2 out of 4 stars because of its flaws. While it is an absolutely fascinating read for the start of a series I’m going to continue, I think it would have been much better off as a graphic novel. The prose needs a lot of editing and reworking for this to function as a novel, but it’s brilliant all the same.
It's hard to give a low rating to books we really enjoy. I admire your analysis and reasoning behind your rating. Good review!

It is but knowing that I still enjoy it makes it a bit easier. Thanks for stopping by!

This book seems like it has strong pros and equally strong cons. I can see your difficulty with assigning a score. Thanks for the insightful review!

The book sounds interesting. But, the numerous typos will be a turnoff. Author's negligence of certain characters is quite unfortunate. I'm not sure whether I'll read it or not. But, thanks for the great review.

This was such a fun review to read. I love your writing style.
You should write your own book :)

First, I have to say, I love your writing style!! The review was so entertaining to read. The book, however, I think I'll pass on. I love Supernatural, which can be gory, but this sounds like it surpasses even that! Thank you for the great review!

Late to reply but yes! It's really very gory and descriptive, so staying away is probably best if that's not your thing.
