Thanks for your review! Not many books center on characters with disabilities so it's awesome that Garrett gets to be hero in this one! I'm also curious to see where the map in the Gypsy Moth's logbook leads to. The mercenary on Garrett's trail sounds very creepy. I would have been bothered by the overly mushy parts as well.

Today's BOTD is a highly-rated, adventurous fantasy novel meant for preteens, but by the sound of it, many adults will also enjoy this one! In addition, many give high praise to the audio companion, saying it added to their overall experience. This is a must-read (and listen) for me! :-) Thanks for the awesome review!!

Sounds like a book packed with adventure! I like that the main character doesn't let his disability define him or dampen his spirit. Thanks for the wonderful review!

Great review. This book sounds full of adventure and challenges. Everyone can learn from Garrett and his achievements especially being physically challenged. I love pirate books so I will def early as this to my list to read.

"Tales of Davy Jones" by Carl Gundestrup seems like a really nice book not only for pre-teens but for adults as well. I think everyone can gain a thing or two from looking past their physical incapability and looking beyond what they envision to be in life. I also think his perseverance and determination is appealing.

Another book that seems right up my alley, especially when it involves sea lore and adventure! I think I can get past the tears if the rest of the story is as good as your review makes it out to be. Great review, I think I'll be reading this one.

A young boy with a disability, who is a prolific reader of adventures, finds himself in a grand adventure when his family moves to an island. This sounds like an excellent book to read. Thanks for the great review!

The main character Garret seems like an inspiration. A like this kind of adventure stories. If it's ideal for teens then I'm sure to like it coz it will surely not be as gory as the ones for adults. Thanks for your review!

Garrett and his adventures with sea creatures, sea dragons and hidden treasures sound appealing for anyone who likes fantasy. The target audience being children, adults might enjoy this book too. Thank you so much for this amazing and enthralling review of the book.

I understand your point about the book being mushy. However, I am glad that you loved reading the book overall. Congrats to the author on the 4/4 review.

The review persuaded me to purchase Tales of Davy Jones for a special boy who loves pirate stories and mysteries. A young boy dealing with what may be the ultimate bully should encourage any child who’s ever encountered one. Thank you for such an enjoyable and obviously persuasive review.

At first I thought this would be a wonderful story for young readers. But then I got intrigued by the bad guy who plans his evil job with precision. Really interesting character.
