An alien capturing me and later making me his mate? Wow! I can't stomach that. I'm not a big fan of science fiction but Claimed by Nicolai by Denna Holm puts me on the edge and I want to read the whole of it. Thank you for the free copy and congratulations to the author on the BOTD. Great review!
Books are beautiful.

I love supernatural romances. This story of an alien who kidnaps an Earth woman to be his mate sounds like a book I would enjoy. Congratulations to the author for writing this sizzling romance chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer. That was a wonderful, well-written review.

Julie, it is easy to tell how much you enjoyed the BOTD. I noticed the review was penned in Oct. 2019. Looks like Dena Holm released the 2nd book in the series, “Claimed by Rafa” just last month. I hope you enjoy it. I understand there is a big target audience for “steamy science-fiction romance novels”, but I am not one of them. The reading of the 1st Chapter was smooth and flowed quite easily. Congrats to Dena Holm on being the BOTD and establishing a new series with many readers eager to follow Abby’s journey.

"Steamy science fiction" is not a genre you come across every day! You make this story sound very entertaining for fans of fantasy fiction. It's not really for me but I enjoyed the review. Thanks.

I love the sound of the plot! It's really too bad the content is not appropriate, I find that content of that kind is usually unnecessary and on top of that, limits the book’s number of readers :-/

Aliens abducting women and marrying them? Nice, scary plot. Must be a horrifying feeling for Abby, regardless of how sexy the alien was. I am looking forward to digging into this intriguing novel and find out how difficult the alien experienced at the hands of a fierce earthling.

Besides kidnapping, illegal possession, and uncivilized characters, the storyline of this book sounds adventurous and exciting. I can only imagine how creative one has to be to write a book this awesome. I really enjoyed your review.

This is a an alien romance novel. Abby has been kidnapped by an alien that has taken her for his mate. Will she accept him or not? It shows a complex view on Abby’s emotions, which is appreciated. Sounds quite interesting.

The romance between Abby and Nicolai is not the type any woman could wish happen to her. It's emotionally delicate. Thanks for the review.

Great review! I like the fact that Abby doesn't easily forget or fall for Nikolai after him abducting her. She seems very level headed. This book seems very entertaining to read.

I like that Abby shows a range of reactions to what has happened to her. In many romance novels in this genre, the female protagonist easily disregards her life before the abduction and quickly falls for her captor. However, this story delves into Abby’s anger and distrust as well as her awe and optimism. It explores her fear and unhappiness as an unwitting partner to an alien, albeit a sexy alpha alien. Abby resents Nicolai for not giving her a choice. She doesn’t just give in to his needs and desires, and Nicolai must work for her acceptance and affection.

Additionally, Abby doesn’t blindly accept the parts of Raiden life that she doesn’t agree with. She opposes the inequality between the sexes. She also disapproves of their claiming actions and their views on servitude. I like that Abby stands up for what she believes in. She makes Nicolai think about the unacceptable traditions of his culture and tries to invoke change. I admire how the author integrated important messages about relationships and women’s rights into her story.

That's great!
I love a strong female character. I'm not much into sci-fi but I'm always glad when an author presents a well-developed female character that's not just a passive agent in the story.
Thanks for a great review!
