I've just finished reading The Magician's Secret yesterday and I wasn't too impressed, but I'm really glad to hear the author fixed at least some of the problems from the first book - like the lack of physical descriptions. Not sure how I feel about new characters being added when the ones we already have are still barely characterized, but maybe I'll give it a shot. Thanks for your review!

I'm itching to dive into 'The Three Card Trick' by Charles Townsend because of the irresistible blend of magic, adventure, and character development. I can't wait to join Delvin on his mission to restore peace in Argent and Hengel.

Nippy helps others without expecting anything in return, which is the true magic of kindness. Congratulations to the author, #BOTD!

Great review! It’s always cool to when a character type that can commonly be played as being “one-note” or a “one-off” (in this case, magicians) can get an interesting story centered around themselves.

It was nice to learn more about the characters I fell in love with in book 1. One of my dislikes for book 1 was that I felt like the characters’ physical traits were not described well, making it difficult to picture the characters. I am pleased to say that the second book has delivered a perfect description of each character.
Whether it was an intentional improvement by the author or not, I would consider this true growth in developing omens writing skills.

The introduction of new characters, like Nippy, adds depth to the story, enhancing the overall experience. "The Three Card Trick" by Charles Townsend. After Delvins friend Borlock's murder in the first book now it's Princess Jarla who is captured and Delvin must find and release her from the magicians. "Problem is he’s being careful. I’m sure he has been out of his house, but he must have used his stone to distract us or make us think he was someone else." Delvin inherited the stone from his master Borlock and is using it in different ways. It will be interesting to know if he gets to Princess Jarla and rescues her. Congrats on BOTD!!

Great review! I enjoyed the first book in the series and the character of Delvin. This second book sounds like it will be even more entertaining.

I've read the first book and enjoyed it as well. Grimbolt became my favorite character in Part 1, and I'm hoping he'll play a significant role in Part 2. I'm also curious about the introduction of new characters. Really looking forward to it. Thank you for your review.

An interesting magic adventure story book "The Three Card Trick" by Charles Townsend, which follows Delvin, who inherited all magic equipment, including a magic stone from a magician.
