Today's BOTD is a standalone SciFi novel set in a dystopian world run by AI. Readers interested in a thought-provoking, cohesive read with realistic characters and a fast-moving, engaging storyline are in for a treat! This one is definitely for you! Thank you for the awesome review! :-)

A great review! The way you brought up how different fiction pieces interact, and that too, in a way that is fun, has totally caught my attention. Looking forward to read it.

This is the second in the series after Terms of Service, right? I'm reading the first one now, and this review kind of gave me a spoiler as to what happens, but that's ok. I'm pretty confident I'll want to read this one next. I'll keep an eye out for the "uncanny valley" dialogue, so thanks for the heads up.

I like dystopian books, especially after reading about this book's plot. I want to know how Kim escapes the controlling system. Congrats on BOTD!

Craig W. Stanfill on another book that borders on AI dominance. I'm not a fan of a reality where freewill is an hoax, and man is made subservience to AI. But many should find it intellectually stimulating. This is a good review by the way.

Amazing review! The novel lets the readers reflect on its thematic plots. I assure that this will be interesting to read whole.

Considering the rapid improvement and growth of AI in just the last 6 months the future described in your review does not sound too far off!

And bought our pretty crowns, but never paid the price
Find me in the river, find me there
Find me on my knees with my soul laid bare

Thank you for mentioning in your review that this is the second book, even though it stands alone. I love reading a series of books from the same author. This is not my normal genre of interest, but your review had definitely made me consider reading both books.

I have read this book and what I disliked was that every character was given the female gender. Kim, at some point of the novel, is actually make while Shan is female. It's a good dystopian book otherwise.

I have read the first book to this series called the terms of service. Although I wasn't the biggest fan of the first, this review makes me want to read the second. I felt the same in terms of language used in the first one but definitely agree that the characters were well written.

By ways of your review Kim's story seems to get more interesting and will definitely be a book I buy next

This is a well-written review. Your description of it being a "depressingly dystopian world" is very accurate, and I agree with you. I read the first book in this series recently and unfortunately, didn't enjoy it much. Thus, I won't be reading this one. Congrats to the author on the BOTD.

I read the first book in this series and enjoyed the author’s creative development of the dystopian society. I would love to read this sequel and discover how Kim is fairing in the outer rim of society.
