This book deals with the female character and the strength she possesses. Aerietta is such a strong character, will love to read more about her. Congratulations to the author on starting on such a high note. Excellent storyline.

The story is quite entertaining and engaging. With betrayal, mystery secrets, strong female character, and a host of other entertaining features in the mix, it makes a good read. I kind of like the way the author highlights weakness. Thanks for the great review!

The book seems to be quite a read with all kinds of interesting themes. It is jarring though when a character is described with one character but displays a different character. Character development is quite important. Otherwise, the story is quite interesting and I would love to give it a try. Thanks for the honest review.

Great review! This is exactly the type of book that I love. I'm interested to see how Aerietta develops throughout the story since you note she is easily manipulated and naive.

Very nice job! I also get irritated with inconsistent characterization, but even so, it sounds really interesting!

The blending of dystopian fantasies with a strong female character seems interesting. The first book in The Afterlight Chronicles series. It is Reid's debut novel as a writer.

A very nice review and it has officially piqued my interest with this book about a woman who is strong in a lot of ways and no so much in others.

This is an incredible epic fantasy adventure novel highlighting magic, secrecy, betrayal, murder, and an interesting plot. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has an awesome OnlineBookClub review. I rated it 4 out of 4 stars. Congrats @rosereidd on the BOTD selection.

Considering the drawback - so very well explained, thank you! - I shall be cautious. But I was already hooked by the following line:

'No one was quite who they seemed to be.'

Onto my shelf it goes :)

Thank you for such a thorough and informative review :)
