Two alternate realities where the same characters live different lives: that must have been challenging. Then we see a mix of crime, romance, and sci-fi; that complicates the plot even more.

I am glad to know Aaron pulled it off, seeing that the book ended up with the perfect rating.

A mysterious all-powerful being watching over and much more sounds very intriguing. But I Pass on this Metaphysical/Fantasy! Best wishes to the author on the #BOTD 🔦
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. (Revelation 20:12 (NKJV) :reading-7:

'Herai' seems to have an interesting premise. The concept of two alternate realities is indeed intriguing.

This is an amazing fantasy novel that highlights alternate realities and builds upon themes like mystery, war, freedom, romance and crime. The book was written masterfully and the onlinebookclub review highlighted the best the book had to offer.

I like to read mysterious, suspensful novels and this one seems to to have quite a lot of suspense and thought provoking enough to keep the reader glued to the pages to the very end. It will be interesting to figure out who that "old one" is, whether he is good or bad and how does his presence influence the events? Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

The characters of this novel, are mysterious and on top of that another mysterious character is aware of two alternative realities; there exist two worlds in this world where one is dead in one of the worlds but alive in the other world. a reader has to remind himself about these two realities while reading this novel.

Herai is a mysterious, fictional novel and all its characters are mystical realities, and they have the power to transcend, the boundaries of the physical laws of nature.

Despite the high praise, I am not really interested in this one I do not think. The ideas seem kind of already overdone. While it is in one of my preferred genres, I do not think this one is for me.

Crime and romance are the great combinations of genres. The author successfully involves the readers by making them part and felt the story. I am fascinated to read this book. Congrats for being BOTD.Thanks for this great review.

A mysterious being watching over two alternate realities? Sounds both creepy and intriguing! I wonder which is the better reality and which has the "old one"? Guess by following Herai readers will find out! It's great to hear that the characters are well-developed, realistic, and no one is beyond suspicion. Also, I love that the author helped you experience Herai's thoughts and feelings. Personally, having a homosexual relationship doesn't bother me, but I'm not sure alternate realities are for me. Too bad about not getting hooked from the beginning of the book, but I'm glad you enjoyed it regardless! Thank you for sharing!

I love to read a good crime thriller and it sounds like this book is well written. I also look forward to reading how Herai navigates coming into adulthood. Great review and congrats to the author for BOTD!

Thanks for the thorough review, but I'm just not a fan of more than one reality in a book; just one world & one storyline is enough for me, thanks!

Thanks for your review! The slow start puts me off the book a little. However, I'm happy to hear that the character development is great and each character is realistic. I'm curious to see which reality 'the old one' is alive in. I hope that Herai succeeds in her mission!
