Beam up for the agents of shield! An exciting 30th century star trek adventure is what I perceived from several of the sample pages as I foresee a rating of 3 out of 4 stars, in which I'm not into erotic science fiction and a review of spoiler alerts. But congrats to the author again on the #BOTD 2018 🚀
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. (Revelation 20:12 (NKJV) :reading-7:

This review helped me understand the general theme of the book. I had read the daily contest preview and was not interested in delving into the time machine aspect of the project Jennifer was in charge of. Reading that she abandons the original project for one of her own gave me a new perspective to consider for reading the whole book.
I am not much for erotic fiction, so I will probably pass on this book for the time being. Thank you for an indepth review.

After only reading the sample on Amazon I have to say I am intrigued enough to read the full review. I do not usually read erotic stories but the 'story' part of this book is enough to keep me interested. I just skim the sexy stuff. I will be ordering the full version of this book!

I agree with your comment about having more story about the trans-time team. From the sample, If this is the first book, there wasn't much detail to show for it at the very beginning. The exposition given through the briefing was a clever way of explaining and the conversation before showed some backstory, but I definitely would have loved some more on the way the teams interacted and been introduced, as that would have given much more of an impact on Jennifer's plan. Lovely review--thank you!

I also read this book, and I have to say I didn't like it as much as you did. I found the writing to be dull, especially the dialogue. Further, many of the 'erotic' scenes were cringe worthy, and there was little to no development of any of Jennifer's relationships. I think this one had a lot of potential, but I agree with you about the shortcomings.

Over the top sex scenes and only a good beginning but a confusing middle and ending. That doesn't sound good. Hopefully this book is better than Solaris Seethes.

I've read a few reviews of this book and they also say the sexual content is just a little too much. I think I'll have to pass based on that. Not my style! But the premise sounds very interesting.

I have read the book but I didn't like it. It was promising when it started but it went all downhill after that.

I appreciated your review which let me know that the erotic scenes in this book would interfere with my enjoyment of the more scientific aspects of the plot, like Jennifer Hero's study of dark matter.

I haven't read the whole book. Just the sample. And I couldn't get past page four. It's cold, clinical and transparent. The dialogue seemed designed to report facts. I could hear the author's voice loud and clear but the characters had no voice of their own. Maybe that works for you...but it's just not my thing.
I'm cool with erotic scenes so long as they're portraying emotion. What I've gleaned from this author so far, if he's writing an erotic scene, it would be to check it off of a list of things he thinks should be part of a novel.
I'm sorry if that's too critical.. but the writing is just... too robotic.

Time travel, genetically engineered people, mission to save the "natural people". It must be an exciting book. But why did she choose the 21th century to come back to? It must definitely seem archaic to her, with no conveniences in her understanding, compared to the 30th century. It will be interesting to read how the heroine will adjust to our world without showing her intellect and the knowledge of the future.

Although it doesn't sound like my kind of book, I appreciate the review. It seems like sometime authors are trying to be steamy and end up making the reader uncomfortable by taking it too far. The history of the islands does sound like a captivating aspect though.

Thanks for the review - what a departure from the sample! Still, I'm intrigued but not only the idea of time travel to correct genetics that cause a whole "species" to be threatened in the future but by the additional science that it sounds like comes to light later in the book.

You had me at time travel dark matter, and animals......erotic stuff is usually not my thing, but I don't mind some of it. Looks like a book I would probably like. Thanks!

I read the sample and not sure about it. The review was great, but I'm still just not sure.
