"Disarrhoea" by Kevin Vodden is a sci-fi horror . The book is wild ride from airborne pathogens to terrifying thrill rides. The review is captivating and well-written. Congratulations on BOTD.

I am not a fan of sci-fi horror, and I do sometimes find "violence and grotesque elements off-putting", but "Credit Where Credit's Due" about a cat and a dog with human intellectual qualities sounded interesting.

I love scary books, so I will have a go at these short stories. I read the sample, and I was immediately intrigued by the first story Disarrhoea. The title is also intriguing—I wonder how it's pronounced!

The short story format interests me , but horror is not a genre I would usually go for.the cover of this book definitely gives me an alien-vodoo-space feeling. Will definitely pass in this read . Thankyou for the review.

The diversity in themes—from airborne pathogens to a carnival's thrill ride—suggests that Vodden has a strong imagination and can explore different facets of the genre. This variety likely keeps the anthology engaging for readers with varying interests within sci-fi and horror.

I'm very sure the author had the disease, diarrhea in mind when writing this book. I can relate so we'll to the plot. However, the horror aspect of this book really got to the me. The stories were well written and well described.
A big thumbs up to the author on this one.

I really appreciate how you pointed out Kevin Vodden's knack for creating sudden, horrifying lines that stick with the reader long after the story is over. That’s such a powerful compliment and really captures the essence of what makes his writing so impactful. Thanks for highlighting that!

Kevin Vodden's anthology sounds like it has an incredible range of imaginative scenarios. I’m particularly drawn to how he uses scientific accuracy to ground the sci-fi elements, making the horror feel even more believable. The reviewer’s excitement is contagious—can’t wait to check out stories like ‘The Matryoshka Loop’ and ‘Fearground’.

This is a good summary of the six short stories, included in this book by Kevin Vodden, Disarrhoea is an entertaining thrill ride for any fan of science fiction or horror, blending the two seamlessly. The long paragraphs might discourage some, but I'm used to it bc of writers like Stephenson. Sounds like a witty, macabre fantasy.

A nice straight to point review. Disarrhoea was a fun read, the fact that it was horror only adds to the story more. Definitely recommend.
