Ron was a wonderful character but I think I love Regina more. I love science and books about science intrigue me.

This is quite a detailed but extensive review. Although the relationship between Ron and Regina sounds interesting, I'm afraid I'd have to pass on this as I have no knowledge of Physics and that seems to be a core central in the book. Thanks for the amazing review.

So many books, so little time. I've just gotten a few pages into this book. Thanks for your solid review. What I've read doesn't have any science, just Chess so far. I can put up with a lot of things for the sake of a book that fascinates me. I love this book about brilliant young people. I haven't seen that many. I'm definitely going to finish this book.

Science fiction is generally not of interesting to me. I’m glad I read this review though, because I’ll definitely pass on this book. Technical jargon does not appeal to me because I do not have a strong science background. Some books are fine with questions left at the end, but it’s generally not my up of tea either.

Thank you for your honest review! I read a similar novel to this in respect to complicated scientific theories and had a hard time keeping up with the plot. Therefore, I will likely pass on today’s BOTD as well.

It has a fascinating title and an interesting plot, though not a fan of sci-fi book, I think I'll add this to my TRB. Wonderful review

I'm not a sci-fi novel fan, especially, one that involves quantum physics. Truthfully, I don't know what quantum physics is. Otherwise, congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

I would love to read on to see how the relationship between these two develops and what their duo is up to. They seem like two formidably placed characters. Congratulations to the author on their book being selected for book of the day.

I enjoy sci-fi novels, but I've not been intrigued by novels that explore time travel since I feel it has not been properly executed in many novels. I hope this one handles this element properly. The review has also pointed out other aspects of the book I will like.

I don't generally go for sci-fi books, and by the sound of this one, being heavy on the science, I don't know that I would enjoy it much. It's a shame about the unsatisfying ending, too. At any rate, I really liked reading your review; it was great! Thank you.

I can see what you mean about the character development. Each character in the story should have meaning, but if characters are used as devices to fulfill a purpose, it can be less enjoyable. As well, just because a story is "bookended" with the same scene, in this case, a chess game, it doesn't mean that all the story elements were tied up well or to readers' satisfaction. However, the story does seem fascinating enough, so I can see why you rated it so high, even with what you perceived as story flaws.

Timewise
The person in the book was an orphan. Grew up moving from place to place with no friends. Rented an apartment and played chess in the younger years then poker. Regarding each day as a poker hand, Tom was obsessive and he saw my life as a waste of time but we coexisted well together. Just as in chess the opponents took turns pummelling me, broke my ribs, right hand, eye socket, dislocated hip and tried to kill me and rolled me for my ID and credit cards. Someone called an ambulance and I woke up at the hospital with Cheryl standing in the room. I was in a semi-delirious state when I was told I was being released tomorrow. I didn’t stay conscious enough to see her reach the door. So was life because of being an orphan.

Quantum physics is such an interesting and intriguing concept and I’m looking forward to digging into this book to be informed and enlightened about fascinating, scientific ideas that make people including me baffled. It is a difficult topic that leaves one with more confusion or questions answers because of its nature so I hope this book provides more understanding.
