This sounds like a book that advocates female empowerment – which is great – although it'd be good to know more about her relationships with men. Unfortunately, more often than not, I find that what seems to be feminist on the surface may not necessarily be so. I hope that this isn't the case for the book. Still, thanks for the review!

A story that revolves around the protagonist, Christina Powers, it highlights the way she deals with her fears and problems. Also, It addresses interesting topics such as music, gender equality, homosexuality, sexuality, and Christianity. A book to read with an open mind.

Unfortunately, I don't enjoy listening pop music and just reading reviews for this book its storyline sound so pop culture that I can't put it away soon enough. No offence, but I will skip this book and leave it to more young public. Congrats with BOTD anyway!

You did a great job on this review! I want to read about Christina and her rise to fame. I like that the story begins with Christina as a teenager, continues into adulthood and her career. I especially appreciate how she does this on her terms.

I agree with the reviewers assessment that some of Christina's relationships did not seem realistic. It appears to be a fun-filled adventure into the life of a young person that goes after what she wants. The profanity, drug use and the plot did not engage my interest. Thanks for the good review on this book.

Christina seems like an inspiring character with an eventful life. Her zest for life and the courage to pursue her dreams is admirable. I will certainly enjoy reading her story.
