I appreciate your clarification that the book makes your reflect on where we are going. Thanks for the compelling recommendation! (You made my TBR list just a little bit longer.) :-)
Indeed we spend a lot of time in front of some kind of screen, and technologies are getting developed at fast speed, so we must reflect carefully about the future we want. Thank you for your appreciation!

This sounds like quite an interesting book. I am very interested in the science behind perception of reality and it sounds like this book definitely has that!

Wow. This one sounds deep. I do love a good science fiction, but I'm afraid this would be over my head. Reality versus simulation gives me a headache.

Yes, the author tried to address that issue using hard science, so you will surely enjoy this book. Thank you for commenting!

The author tried to explain complex scientific concepts in simple words, but I understand that the whole subject can be quite difficult to assimilate. Thank you for commenting!

This sounds like a great sci-fi fantasy which is based on artificial intelligence. Thanks for the descriptive review

As a pretty anti-AI person myself, I am interested in the author's point of view on this subject. While I don't really feel that AI can actually take over per say, I do see how it can be a tool for great evil, control, manipulation and devastating to society in the wrong hands. Not sure how I feel about the whole simulation idea though. I don't believe it myself, but I can see how someone spending too much time dwelling on that kind of idea could fairly easily become mentally unbalanced.

The idea of our whole universe as a simulation, as you say, is an old one, so I wonder what sets this book apart from the many others that deal with this topic. I don't think I'm knowledgeable enough to get the quantum physics parts, but the part of using AI to relief grief intrigues me. And it has happened. I don't remember the name, but there was a woman who used AI to create "conversations" with her dead partner from his old tweets and posts on social media. It's an interesting psychological reaction.
Thank you for your insightful review!

I like that the writer has broken down quantum physics for those who cannot understand. I'm interested.

From the moment proto-humans started using stones and bones, every tool had the potential to be used for good or evil. As for the simulation idea, possibly the influence of The Matrix was bigger than anticipated. Thank you for commenting!

In this book, the author tries to keep to science, also concerning IA developments, while strongly developing the characters. Thank you for your appreciation!
