To be honest, my mind was blown by the mere idea of "robot therapist, RT9... successfully integrated into society as a source of efficient psychotherapy", because it sounds like an oxymoron! Come on people, be logical, healing souls is not alike playing chess, it is not about memorizing moves and combine strategies. It is about feeling and being human, thereby something programmed and unfeeling never will be effective in my opinion.

This book looks really interesting because it pursues this idea of an artificial intelligence that can be used for psychotherapy. I think that it's a different subject and it looks very appealing.

I find the idea of such robots very interesting. I just can't relate between the cover photo and the content.

Thank you for your review. I enjoyed the sample on Amazon very much. I love the concepts behind the plot of this novel. Great possibilities and I hope the author will write a sequel or others like this one!

The book sounds exciting and the plot unusual. An AI that has petrifying problem-solving skills including the ability to alter its own programming due to the situation, that learns from its mistakes and evolves with each passing day is awesome. It will be really interesting to find out more about the development of artificial intelligence and its consequences. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Artificial Intelligence is so not for me, although I would probably enjoy the psychological aspects of this book. However, a robot starting to gain self-awareness is most likely to cause me nightmares, so I’ll have to pass reading this book. Thank you for the intriguing review!

Hard science in a sci-fi novel usually stands it in good stead. But psychotherapy isn't something that interests me, even though that’s not entirely what this one is about.

Reading about robots and sci-fi books, in general, are out of my wheelhouse. Good to know this was a win for you. But I think I will skip it.

Excellent review! The sample was a bit misleading, it made me think the novel was about the main human character. A robot as a psychotherapist sounds very...creepy, it means the robot should understand and feel...

This is a book about an AI that can help with mental help and in this day and age mental health is an issue almost everyone has and will be able to relate to this story and find it fascinating. Great review.

I always enjoy books that examine human psychology. It's also nice how the author discusses using AI for human psychotherapy. I'd love to read the book. Thanks for the wonderful review.

Despite my reservations about AI, there is no escaping it. The combination of principles of psychotherapy and research and strong female characters makes this book sound appealing. Thank you for your excellent review and recommendation. Congrats on BOTD!

I think the idea of artificial intelligence combining with healthcare is really interesting! Not only does it sound exciting, but I bet it raises a lot of really important questions surrounding healthcare, and to what extent we should trust technology when lives are on the line. Congrats on book of the day!

Though a fan of sci-fi, I'm not sure I'll read this book. It sounds interesting with artificial intelligence and an element of mental health services. Thanks for your review. Congrats on being the BOTD.
