It is, indeed, amazing to read that the king and the queen stood with each other, even through the difficult moments. I am still wondering what King Garywings and those who chose to fight against the forces of darkness had to pay.
The book is on my to-read shelf. Many thanks for the informative review, @Chris Don Nwaka.

Your comparison to Avatar immediately grabbed my attention, but what really sold me were the specific qualities you credit to King Garywings Knightfall. I like that you emphasize his “big heart” as much as his military strategy; too many fantasy heroes are either tacticians or idealists, and it sounds as if JDeVeres balances both.

I was also intrigued by your praise for Morning Glow. You point out that her steadfast support turns their marriage into a “model of a harmonious couple,” which makes me wonder: does the novel give her agency on the battlefield, or is her role primarily emotional and strategic? Either way, your comment that their partnership reshaped how you “interact with others” hints that the book isn’t just high‑fantasy spectacle but a relationship study as well.

You noted the editing was “error‑free.” That’s rare in indie fantasy, and it gives me confidence I won’t be pulled out of the story by typos. Finally, I loved the lesson you drew about leadership—especially that it isn’t limited to “traditional” models. I teach a middle‑school book club, and I’m always looking for stories that offer fresh examples of courage and teamwork without glorifying violence. From your review, it sounds as if King Garywings’ willingness to fight is balanced by a genuine concern for his people.

One question: you mention the dark realm has “more soldiers” and that the battle is fierce, but you never say whether the climax felt predictable or if there were twists that surprised you. Without spoiling, did the author subvert any fantasy tropes, or does the appeal lie mainly in the execution of a classic good‑versus‑evil showdown?

Either way, your review has pushed this sequel—and its predecessor—to the top of my TBR. Thanks again for sharing such a detailed and heartfelt reaction!

An enchanting and thrilling tale! I loved the universe of the Elfkins and how they confront challenges as one. I was captivated by the combination of adventure, prophesy, and friendship. Excellent for fans of the genre.

Thank you for your review. I sampled the book. Actors and directors are having trouble with the star doing his own thing. There are discoveries to be found in the night. A lovely couple read together about knights and battles. A fantasy book for readers that love this genre.

Today's BOTD is a fantasy novel that follows King Garywings Knightfall as he leads the light world against his powerful enemy in the dark world. Readers who enjoy themes surrounding leadership, love, and sacrifice will be pulled in right from the start and not let go until the end! Thank you so much for your helpful review. :-)

'This piece was written correctly by the author. I must say that the elves and other beings were vividly described; I could picture each scene while reading this book.'
I'm always up for a book that projects a good mental image.

This must be a gruesome battle of Light world and Dark World. I will indeed read this book to find out how everything turned out to be and to know who among the two teams won. Congratulations book of the day.

The Elfkin Journals" by JDeVereS is an eye catching action book. I would say the dark worlds are always trying to prove a point even when not required. Congratulations on BOTD.
