I'm releived to hear that there are no explicit sexual scenes in the book. Most vampire books have scenes that are shallow and obscene. I'm very careful to avoid those. Thanks for clarifying that point. Sylvio: Past and Present might just land in my 'want to read' shelf.

This is a terrific review. Not only does it give a great rundown of the events that happened in the book, but it also informs readers about the level of adult situations that can be found in this novel. The reader of this review will know what to expect, whether they are looking for more or for less in the explicit category. This book sounds like it is told from a fantastic perspective reaching both backward and forward in the character's life and development. This book sounds like it would be an enjoyable read.

I really must say I don't like vampires stories even their movies detest me, it's meaningless as it generates fear in the minds of young and old people even after watching the movie and can be possessive as it involves spiritism.. personally I would never recommend to any body because I learn nothing from it other than evil and magical power.. All the same it's well written by the author and excellently reviewed, congrat to the two parties.

This is a good review and as it's book of the day I will try it. I've had a break from vampire stories for a long time so it's not a problem for me.

Love the fact the vampires are portrayed as 'good'. Great review, you made me really want to read it.

I'm not much of a vampire fan, books or movies, but the exhaustive nature of this review has got me curious about Sylvio and Rachel. Here I am, wondering how "good" vampires behave. Interesting. Thumbs up!!

Stories about vampires and witches are always what I love. They always keep me want to know more about the whole story itself.

Thanks for a great review! It almost made me want to read this book even though vampires (good or bad), witches and werewolves are not within my area of interest at all!

Looks like this is gonna be scary...what with demons, witches, vampires and all. I think I'll pass on this one. A well written review though.

I like that this book is different from the other vampire novels out there such as the Twilight series. I like that the two main characters have a symbiotic relationship where he is allowed to feed on her and she has her bone cancer diminished. I also enjoy hearing about the back story of Sylvio and his transformation.

I love it when a supposedly villain or something you'll usually fear got shown as something different in a story.. Vampires will always get a special place in me.

I've only read the first few chapters of the book so far, but I'm really into it. Vampire books are incredibly overblown and when you're broke and all you can read are books off of Wattpad, the vampire thing gets a little redundant. I was pleasantly surprised by this one, though.
I was unaware that it was a sequel, but like you said, I don't feel like I'm missing out by not reading the first book. It's nice to see a series that doesn't rely so heavily on the other books. It's nice to an extent to have an inside joke, but there's a reason that it's a whole separate book, in my opinion. Depending on how I feel about this book, I might see about that first one.
