"The Enpirion Project: Exordium" by L. Bossi is a fantasy adventure featuring queer romance. Enpirion, a former weapon of war, grapples with trauma and seeks redemption. He finds love with his commander, Nephael, but an ancient evil threatens their newfound peace. Enpirion must choose between his past and protecting those he loves, facing impossible sacrifices.

I completely agree with your thoughts on "The Enpirion Project: Exordium by L. Bossi has created a thoughtful and deeply engaging story that stands out for its emotional depth and meaningful exploration of healing. Piri’s transformation from a haunted soldier to someone slowly rediscovering his humanity is written with such care and nuance. His connection with Nephael is particularly compelling, showing how love and support can help someone find hope after enduring so much pain.

The world of Aetrelys is also captivating, blending familiar fantasy elements with unique concepts like the Source and the Dark. These details add a fresh dimension to the setting, and I appreciated how seamlessly the magic system ties into the story. The inclusion of illustrations was a wonderful touch—they not only bring the world to life but also provide insight into Piri’s character and experiences.

I do agree that the slower pace in the beginning might not appeal to every reader, but I found it rewarding because it allowed for a deeper connection with Piri and his struggles. The action-packed ending, while exciting, could have used more buildup to balance the story.

I believe the book delves into crucial teams. Sensitive people can be fragile, struggling with mental health issues. It is fundamental to remember to be kind, patient and support anyone struggling along their way.

Enpirion's life is sad. Seri Empire used him to murder people, and now everyone sees him as a murderer.

I hope he does everything to protect his new found identity. I can't wait to read the book!
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

Enpirion’s journey is indeed heart-wrenching, given his traumatic past and the heavy burden of being seen as a killer. It’s great to see how his relationship with Nephael helps him find a sense of belonging and healing. It’s also exciting to know that the book explores both mental health and a queer romance, which adds depth to the story.

I really liked how the book balances slow, reflective moments with the action. The pacing might seem slow at times, but it allows for a deeper exploration of Enpirion's character and his emotional state. The illustrations are another highlight, and it’s cool that they are part of the story, drawn by Piri himself. It’s always interesting to see how art can enhance the storytelling.

'Enpirion finds himself adrift after the fall of the Seri Empire, which used him as a living weapon. Now, he must contend with a reputation as a murderous monster and nightmares that reveal his suppressed memories.'
I'm only interested in the book's sci-fi fantasy story.

The idea of him having nightmares that reveal suppressed memories adds a mysterious layer, suggesting that there’s more to his past than he even knows. The use of Source-powered technology and the Dark as a dangerous force promise an exciting blend of magic and sci-fi. I’m excited to see how these elements play out in the world Bossi has created!

Enpirion's past in L. Bossi's "The Enpirion's Project: Exordium(Book 1)" must be a really scary one that he hated to return to. Gratefully, he had the support of people who truly cared. Congrats on being BOTD. Nice review.

Enpirion’s past definitely sounds like a nightmare, and it’s heartbreaking that he had to relive those memories. It’s a relief that he found support from people like Nephael, who genuinely care about him, helping him through his trauma. It adds such a powerful emotional layer to the story. The support Enpirion receives is vital to his healing. The depth of his character really makes the story stand out.

Illustrations in a book are good. 'One of the best features of this book is the illustrations. They are well-drawn and enhance the story, as they are presented as the drawings made by Piri and referenced in the story.'

This helps deepen the connection between the character and the reader, as the drawings give insight into his thoughts and experiences. It’s always refreshing when illustrations enhance the narrative, making the world feel even more immersive.

Sci-Fi/Fantasy was never my cup of tea, therefore this book, despite the involvement of other genres added to the mix, is definitely not up to my tastes, but luckily I know exactly the person to recommend it and am sure that this well thought through story will be greatly appreciated.
