Thank you for the great review. I doubt I will read this book though. I am one of those people that if I have to struggle through the first chapter, I will generally abandon the book. If I'm reading fiction, I want to relax and be entertained - I don't want to have to struggle through it. Again, thank you for the review!

Even though you mentioned some mistakes, this sounds like a book that I would enjoy. I can easily get over some editing mistakes if the story is good. I liked reading your review, it was quite good in my opinion.

I've sampled the book and can agree with some of what you've said. The prologue makes quite an impact, while the next chapter seems a bit info-dumping. I feel overwhelmed at the moment but will grab my free copy just in case. Thanks for such a detailed review!

This book is great. It is very dynamic and has lots of information, but a whole different world is being created for our reading pleasure and details are important. There is a glossary in the back and I printed those pages out for review. An actual paper book would have it's own marker on those pages for reference. I've read lots of books like this and if you can follow the characters, it can be very entertaining. The review is great and I know it's personal preference how it is rated. It is spot on though! The "info-dumping" can be a bit much for some. But if you like these kind of stories, I definitely recommend this book!

I love when a purely fictional work (science-fiction in particular) is able to force the reader into finding analogies with the real-world. It sounds like this book does this extremely well.

What an insightful review. Sci-Fi is not usually my genre, but I've recently been getting into it more, and the parallels you've drawn with our current (and past) reality has definitely piqued my interest. I am adding it now! :)

An interesting science fiction book "Apex Five" by Sarah Katz, which is about the existence of five nations on another plane with full of politics and cultures of fully fleshed-out characters. The plot sounds quite amazing with a exceptional world building along with bizarre and diverse characters.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Great review. Thank you. This doesn't sound like my kind of book. Although the plot sounds intriguing, I doubt it would hold my attention for very long.

Your comments about science fiction mirroring reality are fascinating. Seems like the author does a good job of integrating these themes into the story. You have written a captivating review about this book and author. Thanks for the recommendation.

An author carries the burden of making the readers familiar with their fictional world. Info -dump is a result of that pressure. but, if the author learns the technique well, it won't be noticeable to the reader, that she/he is being flooded with descriptions and info. This book sounds interesting. Thank you for your well-thought interview.

It is interesting that though sci-fi novels show how man is capable of making great technological progress, errant human nature and pestilence will always be with us. Also noteworthy is how in this novel some members of our species have evolved into Lashas, while still others become monsters at night. Fabulous review.

This universe sounds so intricate and diverse. I'm eager to learn about the planet, it's people, and it's technology. A new world forms after disaster. Great review.
