I'm really intrigued by 'The Magician's Secret'. After reading the synopsis. The uncertainty surrounding Delvin's involvement in Borlock's situation, and his alliance with Princess Jarla and Fionella, has me itching to uncover the truth. Sounds like a thrilling adventure filled with magic and mystery. Congrats on the botd.

The storyline and characters seem interesting, but this is not my kind of book. Thank you for the review.

It would be interesting to read what sort of magic the magicians perform.

The review got me thinking... If you can't picture a character, how can you relate with it?
Maybe appearance is not that important when you know someone's desires and motivation. But it must still feel odd, otherwise this wouldn't be mentioned. I am curious so I might read this book.

The Magician’s Secret” is a captivating novel that weaves together magic, mystery, and family bonds. Set in a small town, the story revolves around a young girl named Alice, who stumbles upon an old, dusty book in her grandfather’s attic. Little does she know that this book holds the key to a hidden world of enchantment and wonder.
Key Themes:
Magic and Illusion: The novel explores the power of magic and illusion, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. As Alice delves deeper into the book’s secrets, she discovers that magic isn’t just tricks—it’s a force that can change lives.
Family Secrets: Alice’s journey is intertwined with her family’s past. The mysterious book connects her to her late grandfather, a renowned magician. As she unravels the secrets, she learns about sacrifice, love, and the ties that bind generations.
Quest for Identity: Alice grapples with her own identity as she embarks on a quest to uncover the truth. Who was her grandfather? What role did he play in the magical world? These questions drive her forward, leading to unexpected revelations.
Writing Style:
Zach Helm’s prose is lyrical and evocative. He paints vivid scenes, from the creaky attic to the bustling streets of the magical realm. The pacing keeps readers engaged, alternating between Alice’s discoveries and glimpses into the past.
Characters:
Alice: Curious, determined, and brave. Her journey is both personal and magical.
Grandfather: A mysterious figure whose legacy haunts Alice. His backstory unfolds gradually.
Otherworldly Characters: From mischievous fairies to ancient wizards, the book introduces a rich cast of magical beings.
Why You Should Read It:
Immersive World-Building: Helm’s descriptions transport readers to a world where magic is real and secrets lie hidden.
Emotional Depth: The novel tugs at heartstrings, exploring themes of loss, love, and the choices we make.
Unpredictable Plot: Just when you think you’ve figured it out, the story takes unexpected turns.
Recommendation:
If you enjoy books that blend mystery, fantasy, and heartfelt storytelling, The Magician’s Secret is a must-read. Prepare to be enchanted and surprised

Hi @Boubker masrar, I just read your comments on the official review of "The Magic Lantern" and while this series was written for young adults, I found all three books very interesting to read for adults. I highly recommend all three books. I intend to read the books to my great grandsons in the near future. @Mrlefty0706

This is a great review and I look forward to reading this book... I am certain that Delvin murdered Burlock. And Princess Jarla sounds like a very strong and confident woman.

My apologies for my last post.... I meant to say that I don't think Delvin killed Burlock, because I'm sure that something else caused his death and Delvin was perhaps unconscious in some sort of way..... I will have to read the book in order to figure that out.... A must read type of book.
