I actually love medieval and fantasy stories so I am definitely looking forward to reading this! I can tell from this review, it's almost like good versus evil, darkness versus light. Agatha seems to be kind & compassionate even to the commoners which is not the norm for a Queen in this time, especially one of a tender age, such as she. I am very interested to find out how she goes about making sure the commoners get treated better & to find out what obstacles she will encounter along the way. What does her family think of her feelings & actions?! My curiosity is also peaked as to their belief system, since the review talks of nudity being natural in their culture & viewed entirely different then now days. I'm interested!! Can't wait!! Excellent review!!

I will read "Agatha the Beloved Queen" by Fred Pilcher to learn about the strategy that young Agatha adopted in the quest to breach the gap between the commoners and the aristocrats. Thanks for the review.

This book definitely peaks my interest as it has a strong female lead in Agatha and it touches on issues about morality and socioeconomic problems. Although these issues are set in a period of romanticism, the author tries to make the problems adaptable to issues we experience currently, hence the story seems like a work of non fiction. The author also tackles female sexuality rather overtly which is very uncommon for a period piece which makes this another reason to read the novel. Definitely worth giving this book a read.

A royal in medieval times that looks out for the commoners and wants better for them is a book that I want to read. The reviewer definitely makes me want to delve into this story and see how how Agatha manages to achieve her goals.

From the thorough review, I would classify this book as an adult realistic fairy tale. Placed in medieval times, I am looking for a good read with a female who will change the disparity between the commoners and the ruling class.

Agatha seems like a visionary leaders, just what Xana needs. I hope both the aristocrats and the commoners finally embrace her ideas to make Xana equitable for everyone.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

This sounds like an entertaining book to read, as well as maybe a few life lessons popping up here and there. Agatha's quest to spread the wealth sounds admirable. Thanks for the great review.

I love when a book is fiction but so intricately detailed and lifelike that it transports us into the realms of historical non-fiction. It never ceases to amaze me how a well-crafted, even fiction, novel can shed light on the progress our society has made, while also resonating with echoes from the past. Thank you for the great review!

Xana is not so different from many countries around the globe. Will Agatha manage to find justice even when outnumbered?

The realistic yet fictional world of Xana comes alive in Agatha the Beloved Queen. The author's insightful commentaries added depth to the story, making it an engaging and thought-provoking read.

Agatha's story seems too tough. It's hard to campaign for something when the powerful people are against you (atleast in my country). I agree that this could pass as non fiction. I would love to read Agatha's story too.
