This sounds like an interesting book full of adventure and reminiscent of the treasure Island and other tales. Thanks for the review!!

I love adventure books. What a great role model Garrett is. He has a disability but doesn't let it get him down. This does seem a book geared to preteens but I would actually enjoy it too. I be twin preteen boys that this book would be good for. Shiloh's Island is the best part. One of my twins is named Shiloh.

This seems to be an adventurous and thrilling read. I love that the protagonist doesn't hold back because of his disability. Such stories are always inspiring. Great review.

I'm a great fan of adventure stories and this book seems to be pretty interesting and exciting with treasure hunt, battling the bullies, making friends. Beside the book gives a very good lesson of how not to lose desire for life when you have a disability. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Quite a heart touching and imaginative fantasy book "Tales of Davy Jones" by Carl Gundestrup. which focuses on Garrett, a thirteen year old with bad leg, who acquired more than the average knowledge so as to not let his disability shape his life. Garrett's love of reading and his determination seems to be quite appealing.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Tales of Davy Jones by Carl Gundestrup sounds like a great fantasy book. I am fascinated by the story of Garrett Spencer and so I will love to read the whole of it. Great review.

Normally Sci-Fi/Fantasy is my most preferred genre from them all, but in this books current case I will have to pass it unfortunately. Because I really don't like any marine related mythology. And Davy Jones is just exactly this.

This review made me think of the Graveyard Book, which is also tailored to preteens, but had an enthralling plot and great mental imagery. Remembering how much I enjoyed that book, I would definitely pick this one up. Thank you for the review.

I relate to books about someone who reads a lot. Reading was such a big part of my childhood. I wasn't big on pirates but this book still sounds enjoyable.
