surface and freedom. A fast-paced, action-adventure pitting humans and cyborgs led by one family, the Henry's, against the transhumanist government of Eris which has instituted "hard kill" measures to eliminate the now useless Fleshie population.

I'm reminded of a movie by the plot. Sounds interesting. I'd like to read more to see how Lieutenant Brock Henry, a law-abiding peacekeeper turned outright rebel, handles the purists and uploaders as the story develops. The review suggests a worthwhile read. Congrats to the author on winning BOTD!

Action and fantasy isn’t a combination I usually enjoy reading. Unfortunately, Hard Kill also doesn’t seem like a book I would enjoy. Nonetheless, congrats on the BOTD!

From my reading of the sample of the book, I definitely agree that the author has a lovely descriptive style! The world felt familiar because of its similarity to other Sci-Fi worlds but still brand new and unique because of the author's creations. The dynamic between the different factions of characters is particularly interesting, and I'm definitely looking forward to reading the whole book in the future!

Brock has been put in a very difficult situation. Who can he trust- the Purists or the Uploaders? I guess readers will have to read the book to find out. Thanks for the review!

RoboCop type of scenarios are usually not my type of thing, but I had this phase when cyborgs seemed interesting and read several books, among which the current one is certainly a winner. It's a fast-paced race, an action-adventure to gain freedom and not only is the story interesting, it is very well written to boot. Definitely recommend and congratulate on BOTD!

This engaging science-fiction novel is packed with military action and war. The leaders on the dwarf planet of Eris issued a "hard kill" to eliminate the population of useless Fleshies. Follow the journey of Lt Brock Henry and the humans who fight the transhumanist government of Eris to escape extermination. Terrific book review!

Your observation about the author's descriptive style and the depiction of emotions in cyborgs is spot on. Bill Eckel's ability to bring depth to his characters, even those who aren't human, is truly commendable. Congrats on BOTD.
