In this book, the gods created humans to play games with them. It is why the jealous goddess Hecate kidnaps Princess Abigail just to torture her father. But this world is bigger than the gods themselves and unknown entities interfere for the sake of balance. Things are set to go way of course. Fantasy lovers, you will love this! Also, this is a great review. Congrats for making it to BOTD.

I wasn´t too convinced to read it until I read your review. I´m not into quest stories but I feel your enthusiasm when you talk about the descriptions and character´s deepness. I´m always ready to read something like that, good review!

Wow, this book is so intriguing. It feels like it's a movie, and I like books like that. I can't wait to adventure with these characters, as they go to save Princess Abigail. Great review.

I couldn't agree more about the author's skill in crafting distinct personalities. Your admiration for Warhawk, the elder paladin, aligns with my own sentiments. His leadership and the powerful fight scene must have been exhilarating to read. Congrats on BOTD.

I don't usually enjoy fantasy stories for their lack of character development. So imagine my surprise to see that you present the characters as a strong aspect of this book!

Wonderful review, yet the genre is no favourite of mine. It seems to be a novel for young people in love with adventures.

Picking up "The Lost Keep of Kaywall" proves to be an excellent choice. The novel adeptly captures the essence of the dungeons and dragons universe, translating it into a captivating narrative. The created realm seamlessly weaves together elements of classic fantasy, adding a unique allure through the incorporation of interactions among Greek deities.

"The Lost Keep" by Charles Embrey Jr. is a fantasy novel and the first book in the series. The young paladin Clovis will try to free the princess Abigail. I like how carefully thought-out the characters are because they seem very authentic.

There will be plenty of suspense and adventure in this novel. The narrative successfully combines a variety of well-known themes to create something distinctive. The legendary haunted house and the damsel in distress seem to be the most intriguing. Now I'm rooting for Clovis.
As long as there is a concept of victors, the vanquished will always exist.

This feels like Sleeping Beauty going fantasy. It is not really my style but it is the kind of plot I like. Since the author was kind enough to make the book free for BOTD, I will surely read it and find out if Clovis can break the curse.

This story sort of reminds me of Super Mario Bros. with the group of people trying to rescue the princess. I am not a fan of these types of books, so I will pass. Thanks for the review!

The feeling of not knowing what was going to happen every time they opened a door or what kind of trap or monster would appear next was very exhilarating.
