Kingdoms: The Birth of Death by Michael Sidden. It has some plot holes that need to be addressed in the second one but honestly it is still an incredible read. It is boarder line erotic/fantasy but there is a lot of story and while some of the action is confusing, overall most is easy to follow and done well enough. The world the author has created is an interesting one and I look forward to more of the series. You really feel for a lot of the characters and their is a lot of others you really want to die. I highly recommend as it is still so far the best fantasy I have read since GOT.

I re-read the Five Hundred Kingdoms by Mercedes Lackey just recently. I am starting to re-read Anne McCaffrey's Peron series now. I am currently reading Moreta.

The last fantasy book I read was Entwined by Heather Dixon. It is loosely based off of the twelve dancing princesses and it is kind of a teen fiction however I really enjoyed it.

Just got through CB Currie's the Martyr and the Prophet on Kindle. A deeply medieval Slow burner, but somewhat interesting.

Have you ever read a book that was addictive? I read one in high school. Over ten years later I still read it to remember. This writer reminds me of Jesus, so many stories within a story, teaching lessons. The book is called "Daughter of the Forest" by Juliet Marillier. It is part of a trilogy.

The story tells of a girl. The youngest child meant to be the 7th son of the 7th son of the Lord of Sevenwaters. She was born a girl and her mother died. So young, the children raised each other in the woods of their home. Time passed and an evil came to their home trapping the brothers in the bodies of swans.

With the help of the fairfolk, Sorcha, the daughter of sevenwaters learns that only by her silence and painful senseless work of making shirts out of a terrible plant called starwort can she save her brothers.

Sorcha is forced to face the world in silence. She leaves her home land and must work to complete her task. Throughout the story Marillier reminds us with flowing story lines how each of our lives is a world created by many more lives...each their own story...and each important.

I recommend the entire trilogy as they are entrancing, beautiful works. Enjoy!

It's not the most recent book I read, but if you liked Jane Eyre you might enjoy "The Eyre Affair" by Jasper Fforde or "Shades of Milk and Honey" by Mary Robinette Kowal. Warning, the Jasper Fforde books are very british humor, which is an acquired taste for some people.

The most recent fantasy book I read is probably "Penric's Demon", a novella by Lois McMaster Bujold.

His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. Coming from a Christian family, my parents were slightly apprehensive about me reading what seemed to be a blatantly heretical book, but I really loved it. I think that it was important not to view it as a an attack on my religious beliefs (though as a Philosophy student I did thoroughly enjoy examining and evaluating Pullman's unique ideas about life, God and the universe) but instead to just read it as fiction and not to take any offense. Quite honestly I can say Pullman is one of the best writers that I have ever had the pleasure of reading: he had my heart racing and at times I am pretty sure that I was so engrossed that I wouldn't have stopped even for a zombie apocalypse. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Just finished the accompanying book of the king killer chronicles, The Slow Regard of Silent Things, because The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear were great books and I'm eagerly awaiting the third and last book of the series, prepare to find yourself sucked into the story.

The last fantasy books I read are probably not that unusual. They were a couple of novels by David Gemmell and the A Song of Ice and Fire series (Game of Thrones) by George R. R. Martin. I'm looking for something new.

The last fantasy book I read was the epilogue to the Mistborn trilogy, Hero of Ages! I must say I was a bit skeptical going into the series, but all three of the books absolutely blew my mind! The characters are amazing, lovable, and relatable, the plot is very intriguing, and the turns are unexpected! Cannot recommend this enough for any fantasy lovers out there!
