I am so very grateful for this awesome opportunity gifted to us, because the book sounds perfect in all reviews and readers' comments. Although I must admit that I would have read it anyway thanks to my obsession with supernatural Sci-Fi/Fantasy)) Thank you very much and congratulations on BOTD!

"Knights of Orion Citadel: Illusion of Safety" remains a page-turner and a go-to book for those who enjoy urban fantasy. O'Clair shows a good skill as a story teller, and it will be interesting to observe the evolution of the series in forthcoming novels. Congrats on #BOTD

I sampled the first three chapters of Knights of Orion Citadel: Illusion of Safety by Avalon O'Clair. Although I had read the blurb about it being recommended as an adult book because of its graphic content, the opening violence of this urban fantasy was uncomfortable and tense. A father's throat is slashed open in front of his horrified 15-year-old daughter, who has her wrists broken and kills her pursuer as she escapes to the panic room. It was too much for me, and I almost stopped reading there. But after completing a couple more chapters and reading your review, I can see that there seems to be a good story to enjoy. I will probably finish reading it.

An excellent critique, thank you. From the Amazon sample, Avalon O'Claire delivers her epic debut novel Knights of Orion Citadel' with skill and imagination. The plot is described in vivid detail and is unpredictable with multiple twists and turns. It's recommended to adult readers who enjoy slow-burn fantasy romance novels.

I read 4 pages into the first chapter, and so far I am intrigued. There has not been any type of supernatural introduction in these first pages, but from your review, I look to expect it soon. This is a nice complement to the other 2 books I am currently reading. So far, it is an easy read, well written, and has teasers to a more robust story line.

This urban fantasy novel hooks you from the start with its intriguing premise of a curse that attracts paranormal creatures to the protagonist Emma. The blend of martial arts, witness protection, demonic curses, and supernatural battles creates a gripping and unique plot. O'Clair's vivid descriptions and character development truly bring the story to life. The contrasting personalities of Benjamin and Chase as Templar Knights add depth and intrigue.

I recommend the book for adult readers who enjoy slow-burn fantasy romance novels. There is a lot of graphic violence, an explicit scene, and profanity that may offend some readers. While the story includes angels and demons, a specific religion isn’t defined.
- This is just the kind of book I like and I'm sure to sink my teeth into it like the aforementioned vampires that surrounded the men that came out of the building. Thank you for a heavenly review.

One of the standout elements is the suspenseful and action-packed fight scenes against vampires, monsters, and other supernatural threats. O'Clair doesn't hold back on the graphic violence, making these battles feel intense and high-stakes. However, the book also explores deeper emotional themes like vengeance, romantic tensions, and the desire for a normal life amidst the chaos. The complex dynamics between characters like Emma, Benjamin, Chase, and the angel Ashriel add layers to the narrative.

"Knights of Orion Citadel" by Avalon O'Clair. An interesting action packed book, talks about Emma Borello who returned home after a martial arts championship only for her to witness her father’s murder. Emma has to testify against Vincent Russo. Selling of souls to the demon, vampires and illuminati could be a scary movie but interesting when read. Congrats on your #BOTD.

A story about Emma testifying against her father's murderer namely Vincent. Vincent's father sold his sold to the devil for monsters to torture Emma not to kill her because killing her may seem to work in her favor. I'm curious about what will happen in this book. If you love supernatural characters filled with angels, demons, vampires etc then this book is for you. For mature readers only. Congrats for being the #botd.

In some cases, humans can only go so far to protect you; you must rely on your wits to keep you safe. A slow-burn romance novel sounds appealing, as the author wanted to take their time to develop the story. Thanks for the review!

Thank you for the informative review!
I could almost feel the rapid and intense pace of this book from the manner in which you presented this review.
Everything sounds action-packed, from the return of Emma Borello, from a martial arts championship onwards. Octavio means to take things to an extreme level by selling his soul for Emma's torture.
Every character you mention sounds fantastical and so does the plot. Congratulations to the author!

This is a very enlightening review! I sampled the first chapter episode of Emma's drop off by Heather's family, her dreaming about studying as a chef and then unexpectedly witnessing her father's murder, followed by her life-or-death standoff with Antonio. I agree that the plot is easy to follow and the story is suspenseful. I also agree that it feels like an all-star read. I look forward to discovering the fantasy twists you mention in the review!
