Seems a little complicated for me. Although the way the author uses time sounds interesting. Nice review.

It's like learning a new language a few words at a time instead of being thrown into a conversation with someone who speaks the language! ... I agree. Personally I have to give myself time to process the plot when reading a sci-fi novel. It is too much to learn from just one book. Whole new language as you say! The LOTR comparison to the story has it's own gravity to me so maybe I will give it a try. :) Thanks for the review.

It sounds quite heavy due to all of the time and galaxy twists. I am not a fan of science fiction that relates to time/galaxy warping so I'm passing. Your review was very thorough and well written.

From your review and the sample, this book sounds a little heavy. I'm glad the author is able to weave in facts and characters seamlessly so that it lightens it up a little. Thanks for a very detailed review!

The review is fleshy and adequately clothed in content. However, at the start of the story I didn't really capture the flow but later on I started enjoying the story. Congrats on being BOTD.

I love science fiction, so this book sounds very good to me. I tend to think that this book falls into an area known as military science fiction as many of the heroes and characters sound military to me, and it is also set in what appears to be a military scenario. There seem to be a multitude of interesting characters from all sorts of races which makes it sound even more interesting. From the detailed review, in simply can't follow any sort of plot but I am sure this will change if I read it it. Although your review was difficult to follow I enjoyed reading it and the book sounds fabulous.

It's obvious from your review that you really connected with the book. Your glowing endorsement piques my interest, but sci-fi is not really my cup of tea.

A story that follows five threads as they weave together for one whole is really awesome in a science fiction book "Solar Winds: Providence Ends" by Bryan G. Shewmaker. Nice world building by conceptualizing that the Solar Empire is a force that has spread across the universe. The book appears to be very much interesting.

There is a lot packed into this first book in the series! Thank you for explaining what the Encephalon is - that name intrigued me. There was a reference to it in the blurb but no description. Thanks for your review.

Man, I have to say that the way time travel is talked about in this book is really unique! I may have to give this one a read in the future. The creativity that was present in the sample demonstrated this completely. Great review!
