I remember seeing this and thinking, 'Wow, Some Guy!" What a pen name! That alone may persuade me to check out the book even if I'm not that psyched about the story, especially as the action wasn't fast paced all through.

Your review is very good. I think the worst feeling when reading a book is wondering what happens next to only never get the answer. Books shouldn’t leave readers guessing unless there is a sequel. I did find it interesting that they battled supernatural entities. I always feel when they are included in a story, there is a bigger picture the author wants you see. Sometimes they symbolize internal battle, especially in the case of redemption.

Based on your review, I think this book might need another rewrite to get rid of those errors and add some more characterization. Not every part of a novel must be action.

This was a very thorough and informative review though the book itself sounds like the polar opposite of the type of read I prefer (I usually go for reality-centered lengthy novels with tons of character development, little action, and no sci-fi)... nonetheless I know there is quite an audience for these comic-book/novella hybrids as well :)

This looks like an interesting book within a genre I usually enjoy. I appreciate your thorough review and it's nice to be warned of where the book will be lacking. Grammar errors can really detract from my reading experience, but based on your review and reading the first few pages, I may still have to give this story a chance. The characters sound like they are well-developed and the story itself seems to be an intriguing concept!

I am probably not going to read this one, only because supernatural horror is not often a genre that appeals to me. However, I am intrigued by the pseudonym and your review makes it sound like it could be worth the short read. Thanks for the clever review (I also liked the "current POTUS" remark, as it linked with the "good trumps the bad").

A graphic novella will be refreshing for me, the cover already looks interesting. It's also a short book so I think it will be perfect for me after I've finished a long novel :D

This is such a short book. This "Some Guy" really gets to me and I would like to know why he uses thus name. But the horror part is not for me.

Based on its length alone, this is a book I would pick up because it would be a lot quicker to get through. I will, however, refrain from it because I find vulgar language and scenes of graphic violence repulsive.

I love reading sci-fi and fantasy books, but if this is a supernatural and horoic one, I would still be interested but i have a misgiving due to your note in the review that there's a cliffhanger in the novel and that the coming series isn't a follow up to the story.

The expressionistic artwork is truly intriguing in a scary sort of way. I also find supernatural stories to be interesting. Thank you for your very detailed review.

Although I'm not really into this kind of literature I did find it interesting and different.
I also like lengthy books but this would a good quick and easy read.

The Epilogue and the Chapter One had piqued my interest but when I read that the story did not answer the questions in your mind, it made me think of not reading this book. I'm sorry to hear you felt a slightly bitter taste due to untied knots at the book's ending. Thanks for the detailed review.
