What I appreciated most about this book was that the author tried assiduously to make it interesting. However, that led to some loose ends, and there were some dull moments too. Generally, it was a beautiful read.

Thanks for the heads up about the "mature" material. And for revealing that most of the book is about the expedition, but it takes a bit to get to that part. Your review gives me a much better idea about whether or not I want to read the whole book.

This book seems like a well-written adventurous fiction where the expeditionists face many unusual creatures. The descriptive nature of the book will do well to carry the readers along.

The book sounds promising. But i don't think the sexual moments add any value to the book. I like it that the book starts with an introduction and background of characters. And i love expedition stories about hidden or secret lands so i would definitely read this book. Congrats on BOTD!!

I have read Zona before. It was an adventure, reading through the book. The reading memory persists as I love to go over the pages again. Congrats on BOTD.

This book is part adventure thriller,  warriors, passionate women, and uncommon heroes. Speculative fiction takes the reader on a wild ride. Let's read it and enjoy the author's writing.

A fascinating fictitious experience story with quintessence of risk, tension, sentiment, and secret is well introduced in the book "Zona: The Illegal Land" by Fred G. Cook. The story rotates around a college teacher, who is attempting to track down his missing uncle in taboo zone close to Siberia. The story shows up very engaging to peruse to read

I have never liked fiction and the book's introduction where the author introduces the setting confirms my prejudice. But all I hear are good things from the review.

Reading the review alone, I was already feeling like I am being part of the expedition too, just the same way the reviewer felt. This book will be a great book for me and for others who loves fantasy books. Congratulations on BOTD

This is a book that has a lot of suspense. You won't be able to predict uncle Randall's return. Nice review!

This was quite a fascinating book. I love how, unlike some people, Grant didn't just want the property for himself, he believed his Uncle was alive and went in search of him.
I believe that great success is possible in any field - From music to mathematics to macro trading.

The title of this novel sounds suspenseful to me. What actually makes the land "forbidden?" Did Randall, Grant's uncle go missing because he broke some restrictions in the land of Zona? The questions just keep coming. Well, I look forward to reading the details of Grant and co's operations to find Randall. On the other hand, the exceptional editing done in this novel is commendable.
