I have not read this book (Demonslayer). Yet, I thought the review that was done here is quite good. I now have a good feel of what this book is portraying and it is interesting. Seems to have a good v. Evil theme. Nice list of character names and what they seemed to stand for and against. I like the names of the characters as well. Well done.

Your response has confirmed my suspicions that I will absolutely LOVE these books! I really can't wait to read them! Thank you so much for your awesome and detailed review. Especially, that you describe the characters in such detail, and even list what parts you found funny, just shows that you really took the time to write this review, so that readers would understand how much you enjoyed this book!

"Demonslayer" by Ian P. Eviston is the first book in the Vanguard Chronicles series. The Vanguard are elite warriors who are sent on the most serious missions. Spirit Clayborn lives with his sister Emily who has leukemia. In order to pay for his sister's treatments, Spirit Clayborn participates in underground cannibal fights.

There's a lot going on in this plot that is difficult to wrap my head around. I wonder how Spirit's cannibal fights work. While I love fantasies, I'll be skipping this one.

The book sounds like an anime in writing. I love fantasy book, and "Demonslayer" is not an exception. The characters were developed well and the premise of the plot already highlighted the potentials of the book. You said very well that the book would suit an audience of young adults. However, the book is engaging enough to capture the minds of any fantasy reader.

"Demonslayer" by I.P. Eviston is a gripping fantasy where Spirit fights to save his sister and faces a demon invasion. Love the mix of intense battles, deep character arcs, and plot twists. Congratulations on being BOTD!

I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out how Spirit Clayborn addresses all the violent challenges in his life as he struggled living with his sister, Emily, in the world of cannibal fights and why was he being helped by some entities.

'The Vanguard are elite fighters that are sent on the most dangerous missions. The character development is exceptional, as it provides the perspective of several characters.'
This is a supernatural fantasy I don't think I'd like to miss.

This is an intriguing fantasy adventure with a dark side. I like Spirit’s love for his sister which has led him to participate in underground fights to pay for his sister’s medication at risk of his own life and limb.

This sounds as though it would appeal to many groups beyond young adults. Books that are well written enough to reach beyond the target readers, are definitely worth reading. With that said, your review makes it even more appealing and exciting to read!
