Thank you for doing this review. I typically have a hard time starting a book if it's too confusing to follow with all of the "information dumping" that can happen so early with a sci-fi focus. I still want to give this book a shot but now i'm prepared to invest the time and not just dismiss the book out of hand.

Thank you for the awesome review! The story sounds very interesting but also very complex! Science fiction is not my favorite genre but occasionally I find one I can get into. I'm not quite sure about this particular one due to the complexity of the book but I think I will put it on my want to read shelf and maybe give it a try later! I'm not sure I would be able to comprehend the storyline as well as I would need to in order to really enjoy it. But you did an excellent job on reviewing thos book!

I’m glad you mentioned that this one had a lot in it because the sample pages were not easy for me to get through. I felt like I had so much information coming at me so fast to lay a foundation that it just doesn’t appeal to me. I felt so lost just in the first few pages, so your review helped clear up the muddy waters. I just don’t think this one is for me.

This book sounds amazing, from the dystopian reflection of our own world to the character-driven plot! The characters sound three dimensional and it sound like such a complex story! I can't wait to read this one!

I'm amazed by the author's considerable creativity. Science-fiction is not usually my first option, but this book sounds compact in inventiveness. The imaginative realm fascinated me. Thank you for your wonderful review, inamarid!

Science fiction in a post-apocalyptic world is exactly what I'd enjoy reading. The five countries with different cultures sounds intriguing. I'm not sure about political theme, though.

This sounds like an intriguing novel to read. However, I don't think I will check it out due to the complexity of some info. This book might be very similar with the last sci-fi I reviewed. I struggled through the first two chapters to understand the author's point of view which was really demotivating . Thanks for the great review.

I don't really care for books in which the author feels like he has to preface each chapter with a lot of information, so you know what is going on. I prefer that they work it into the flow of the story, if they can. Other than that, it sounds like a great book. Thanks for the review!

This sounds like a really fascinating read. I always love post-apocalyptic type novels that draw from real history to create a realistic world. It sounds like in this case, the author maybe tried to tackle a bit too much in one novel.

Not much of a sci-fi enthusiast, especially when topics such as gender fluidity are involved. Will probably skip this one.
