From a sampling, this seems like an interesting fantasy novel about the battle between an entity destined to be evil and a fairy named Grimnir, who is destined to kill the entity. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I love elves, fairies and fantasy on a whole. However, this story is way too gory for me from the jump. I'll pass on this one.

I hate to judge a book by its cover, but sometimes it's hard not to. I really do not like the cover and this fact has prevented me from giving the book a chance, despite its 2018 Book of the Year win on OBC. After reading this review, I am inspired to give it a try.

This book sounds incredible! I love fantasy books with good characters, and I don't really mind violence either so this is definitely a bonus for me. I quite enjoyed this review too, it immediately spoke to me and convinced me that I needed to read this book, so I'll definitely be taking that recommendation. Thank you for this amazing review.

Well, you've got me. That's a marvellous review. I have to read this one. I am eager to experience the storytelling skills of this author. I am intrigued by the mixing of past and present, and the world of elves and creatures which the author has created.

I love how specific and detail-rich this review is! I am averse to violence and death so I will be passing on this one. I do love how there seems to be magical elements involved with the elves and other characters.

Sounds like a wonderful fantasy book but I don't think it's my kind of book. I'm sure it will be perfect for hardcore fantasy lovers. Thank you for the gushing review as you put it.
