I am already impressed by Garrett. Not being held back by his disability is something worthy of noting. Truly the love of reading is a great way to experience adventure. I can't wait to read this intriguing story.

I've been looking for a good fantasy novel and might have to check this one out. An island full of mythical creatures and a flawed hero seems like the ideal setting for a good book. I can handle mushy and overly emotional characters as long as that's not a central theme. Thanks for the review!

This book (series?) sounds like one I would be interested in reading. I love a good mystery, especially one involving pirates and especially if the main character starts off with less than ideal circumstances.

I like the story line especially the fact that the child reads books. Maybe the it is best read by preteens but your review has made me curious. Thank you.

They could learn a lot from Garrett's love of reading, his perseverance, and determination. I loved his refusal to let his disability impede his zest for life.
Sounds an inspirational story for children who enjoy reading a well-written story filled with adventure, action, and suspense! Plus, it is professionally edited! Not my genre, so I will pass on this one. However, I am glad you enjoyed it so much and thank you for the beautiful review!
